misp-warninglists are lists of well-known indicators that can be associated to potential false positives, errors or mistakes. The warning lists are integrated in MISP to display an info/warning box at the event and attribute level if such indicators are available in one of the list. The list can be globally enabled or disabled in MISP following the practices of the organization.

The Threat Hunter Playbook is a community-based open source project developed to share threat hunting concepts and aid the development of techniques and hypothesis for hunting campaigns by leveraging security event logs from diverse operating systems. This project provides not only information about detections, but also other very important activites when developing analytics such as data documentation, data modeling and even data quality assessments. In addition, the analytics shared in this project represent specific chains of events exclusively at the host and network level and in a SQL-like format so that you can take them and apply the logic in your preferred tool or query format. The analytics provided in this repo also follow the structure of MITRE ATT&CK categorizing post-compromise adversary behavior in tactical groups.

cfilter - Cuckoo Filter implementation in Go, better than Bloom Filters (unmaintained, unfortunately)

Cuckoo filter is a Bloom filter replacement for approximated set-membership queries. Cuckoo filters support adding and removing items dynamically while achieving even higher performance than Bloom filters. For applications that store many items and target moderately low false positive rates, cuckoo filters have lower space overhead than space-optimized Bloom filters. Some possible use-cases that depend on approximated set-membership queries would be databases, caches, routers, and storage systems where it is used to decide if a given item is in a (usually large) set, with some small false positive probability. Alternatively, given it is designed to be a viable replacement to Bloom filters, it can also be used to reduce the space required in probabilistic routing tables, speed longest-prefix matching for IP addresses, improve network state management and monitoring, and encode multicast forwarding information in packets, among many other applications. Cuckoo filters provide the flexibility to add and remove items dynamically. A cuckoo filter is based on cuckoo hashing (and therefore named as cuckoo filter). It is essentially a cuckoo hash table storing each key's fingerprint. Cuckoo hash tables can be highly compact, thus a cuckoo filter could use less space than conventional Bloom filters, for applications that require low false positive rates (< 3%).

joy - A package for capturing and analyzing network flow data and intraflow data, for network research, forensics, and security monitoring

Joy is a BSD-licensed libpcap-based software package for extracting data features from live network traffic or packet capture (pcap) files, using a flow-oriented model similar to that of IPFIX or Netflow, and then representing these data features in JSON. It also contains analysis tools that can be applied to these data files. Joy can be used to explore data at scale, especially security and threat-relevant data. JSON is used in order to make the output easily consumable by data analysis tools. While the JSON output files are somewhat verbose, they are reasonably small, and they respond well to compression.

The GOSINT framework is a project used for collecting, processing, and exporting high quality indicators of compromise (IOCs). GOSINT allows a security analyst to collect and standardize structured and unstructured threat intelligence. Applying threat intelligence to security operations enriches alert data with additional confidence, context, and co-occurrence. This means that you apply research from third parties to security event data to identify similar, or identical, indicators of malicious behavior. The framework is written in Go with a JavaScript frontend. Updating is simple and encouraged as bugs are reported and fixed or new features are added. To update your instance of GOSINT, pull the latest version of GOSINT from the repository and re-run the build command to compile the updated binary.
