yaml-sort-checker - Tool for checking if the YAML config files are alphabetically sorted

  •        6

This library helps you to keep YAML file sorted to prevent unnecessary merge conflicts. Typical example is when two developers register a new service in services.yml. If they both add it to the end, it unevitably will lead to a merge conflict. However, when the services are alphabetically sorted, the probability of merge conflict is much lower (because the added services probably won't clash).

yst - create static websites from YAML data and string templates

  •    Haskell

yst is a tool for generating a static website by filling string templates with data taken from YAML or CSV text files or SQLite3 file based databases. This approach combines the speed, security, and ease of deployment of a static website with the flexibility and maintainability of a dynamic site that separates presentation and data. yst is written in Haskell. The easiest way to install yst is by using Haskell's cabal install tool. The best way to get this tool is to install the Haskell platform, which includes a complete installation of the GHC compiler and the cabal executable.

yaml - YAML support for the Go language.

  •    Go

The yaml package enables Go programs to comfortably encode and decode YAML values. It was developed within Canonical as part of the juju project, and is based on a pure Go port of the well-known libyaml C library to parse and generate YAML data quickly and reliably. The yaml package supports most of YAML 1.1 and 1.2, including support for anchors, tags, map merging, etc. Multi-document unmarshalling is not yet implemented, and base-60 floats from YAML 1.1 are purposefully not supported since they're a poor design and are gone in YAML 1.2.

Pyright - Static type checker for Python

  •    Python

Pyright is a fast type checker meant for large Python source bases. It can run in a “watch” mode and performs fast incremental updates when files are modified. Pyright does not require a Python environment or imported third-party packages to be installed. Pyright includes both a command-line tool and an extension for Visual Studio Code that implements the Language Server Protocol.

yaml - A better way to marshal and unmarshal YAML in Golang

  •    Go

A wrapper around go-yaml designed to enable a better way of handling YAML when marshaling to and from structs. In short, this library first converts YAML to JSON using go-yaml and then uses json.Marshal and json.Unmarshal to convert to or from the struct. This means that it effectively reuses the JSON struct tags as well as the custom JSON methods MarshalJSON and UnmarshalJSON unlike go-yaml. For a detailed overview of the rationale behind this method, see this blog post.
