The enterprise-class Open Source LDAP server for Linux. It is hardened by real-world use, is full-featured, supports multi-master replication, and already handles many of the largest LDAP deployments in the world. OpenLDAP and Fedora Directory Server were both derived from the original University of Michigan slapd project. In 1996 the original developers of slapd became Netscape employees and developed Netscape Directory Server, which is now Fedora Directory Server.

Slim Auth is an authorization and authentication library for the Slim Framework. Authentication is provided by the Zend Framework Zend\Authentication component, and authorization by the Zend Framework Zend\Permissions\Acl component. If you're familiar with Zend\Authentication and Zend\Permissions\Acl, you'll be able to implement the library without any trouble. Otherwise, you might want to wait for the docs to be completed (no ETA) or open a GitHub issue with any questions or problems you encounter.
MustBe is not a complete authorization framework, with roles and responsibilities and models and data access and everything that you need. Rather, it is the underlying plumbing that you need to secure your site. It allows you to fill in the necessary parts to manage data access, roles and users, and gives you the activity based plumbing to secure it all. MustBe is an authorization system - the part of a security system that decides whether or not you are allowed to do something. This is the second of authentication and authorization, where authentication simply determines who you are.

The original Docker Registry server (v1) did not provide any support for authentication or authorization. Access control had to be performed externally, typically by deploying Nginx in the reverse proxy mode with Basic or other type of authentication. While performing simple user authentication is pretty straightforward, performing more fine-grained access control was cumbersome. Docker Registry 2.0 introduced a new, token-based authentication and authorization protocol, but the server to generate them was not released. Thus, most guides found on the internet still describe a set up with a reverse proxy performing access control.
