vpp-agent - VNF management agent for VPP (FD.io) powered by cn-infra

  •        109

The VPP Agent is a Go implementation of a control/management plane for VPP based cloud-native Virtual Network Functions (VNFs). The VPP Agent is built on top of the CN Infra, platform for developing cloud-native VNFs. The VPP Agent can be used as-is as a management/control agent for VNFs based on off-the-shelf VPP (e.g. a VPP-based vswitch), or as a platform for developing customized VNFs with customized VPP-based data.

  •    C

The VPP platform is an extensible framework that provides out-of-the-box production quality switch/router functionality. It is the open source version of Cisco's Vector Packet Processing (VPP) technology: a high performance, packet-processing stack that can run on commodity CPUs. The benefits of this implementation of VPP are its high performance, proven technology, its modularity and flexibility, and rich feature set.

crossplane - An Open Source Multicloud Control Plane

  •    Go

Crossplane is an open source multicloud control plane. It introduces workload and resource abstractions on-top of existing managed services that enables a high degree of workload portability across cloud providers. A single crossplane enables the provisioning and full-lifecycle management of services and infrastructure across a wide range of providers, offerings, vendors, regions, and clusters. Crossplane offers a universal API for cloud computing, a workload scheduler, and a set of smart controllers that can automate work across clouds. Crossplane presents a declarative management style API that covers a wide range of portable abstractions including databases, message queues, buckets, data pipelines, serverless, clusters, and many more coming. It’s based on the declarative resource model of the popular Kubernetes project, and applies many of the lessons learned in container orchestration to multicloud workload and resource orchestration.

The Open Policy Agent (OPA) is an open source, general-purpose policy engine that enables unified, context-aware policy enforcement across the entire stack. OPA is hosted by the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) as a sandbox level project. If you are an organization that wants to help shape the evolution of technologies that are container-packaged, dynamically-scheduled and microservices-oriented, consider joining the CNCF. merlin - Merlin is a cross-platform post-exploitation HTTP/2 Command & Control server and agent written in golang

  •    PowerShell

Merlin is a cross-platform post-exploitation HTTP/2 Command & Control  server and agent written in golang. To facilitate ease of use, a TLS X.509 private and public certificate is distributed with Merlin. This allows a user to start using Merlin right away. However, this key is widely distributed and is considered public knowledge. You should generate your own certificates and replace the default certificates that ship with Merlin. The default location for the certificates is the data/x509 directory. The openssl command can be used from a Linux system to generate a key pair.

surf - Stateful programmatic web browsing in Go.

  •    Go

Surf is a Go (golang) library that implements a virtual web browser that you control programmatically. Surf isn't just another Go solution for downloading content from the web. Surf is designed to behave like web browser, and includes: cookie management, history, bookmarking, user agent spoofing (with a nifty user agent builder), submitting forms, DOM selection and traversal via jQuery style CSS selectors, scraping assets like images, stylesheets, and other features. Complete documentation is available on Read the Docs.

webdriver - Remote control interface that enables introspection and control of user agents.

  •    HTML

WebDriver is a remote control interface that enables introspection and control of user agents. It provides a platform- and language-neutral wire protocol as a way for out-of-process programs to remotely instruct the behavior of web browsers. Provided is a set of interfaces to discover and manipulate DOM elements in web documents and to control the behavior of a user agent. It is primarily intended to allow web authors to write tests that automate a user agent from a separate controlling process, but may also be used in such a way as to allow in-browser scripts to control a — possibly separate — browser.

CimSweep - CimSweep is a suite of CIM/WMI-based tools that enable the ability to perform incident response and hunting operations remotely across all versions of Windows

  •    PowerShell

CimSweep is a suite of CIM/WMI-based tools that enable the ability to perform incident response and hunting operations remotely across all versions of Windows. CimSweep may also be used to engage in offensive reconnaisance without the need to drop any payload to disk. Windows Management Instrumentation has been installed and its respective service running by default since Windows XP and Windows 2000 and is fully supported in the latest versions of Windows including Windows 10, Nano Server, and Server 2016. Agent-based defensive tools are extremely powerful but they also require deployment of the agent to each system. While agent-based solutions absolutely have a place in our industry, they tend to be very expensive and can be easily detected/thwarted by determined attackers. CimSweep enables the acquisition of time-sensitive data at scale all without needing to deploy an agent.

gardener - Kubernetes API server extension and controller manager managing the full lifecycle of conformant Kubernetes clusters (Shoots) as a service on AWS, Azure, GCP, and OpenStack

  •    Go

The Gardener implements the automated management and operation of Kubernetes clusters as a service and aims to support that service on multiple Cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, OpenStack). Its main principle is to use Kubernetes itself as base for its tasks. In essence, the Gardener is an extension API server along with a bundle of Kubernetes controllers which introduces new API objects in an existing Kubernetes cluster (which is called Garden cluster) in order to use them for the management of further Kubernetes clusters (which are called Shoot clusters). To do that reliably and to offer a certain quality of service, it requires to control the main components of a Kubernetes cluster (etcd, API server, controller manager, scheduler). These so-called control plane components are hosted in Kubernetes clusters themselves (which are called Seed clusters).

Kong - The Microservice API Gateway

Under active development, Kong is used in production at thousands of organizations from startups, Global 5000 and Government organizations.

kubeadm-ha - Kubernetes high availiability deploy based on kubeadm (for v1

  •    Smarty

kube-apiserver: exposes the Kubernetes API. It is the front-end for the Kubernetes control plane. It is designed to scale horizontally – that is, it scales by deploying more instances. etcd: is used as Kubernetes’ backing store. All cluster data is stored here. Always have a backup plan for etcd’s data for your Kubernetes cluster. kube-scheduler: watches newly created pods that have no node assigned, and selects a node for them to run on. kube-controller-manager: runs controllers, which are the background threads that handle routine tasks in the cluster. Logically, each controller is a separate process, but to reduce complexity, they are all compiled into a single binary and run in a single process. kubelet: is the primary node agent. It watches for pods that have been assigned to its node (either by apiserver or via local configuration file) kube-proxy: enables the Kubernetes service abstraction by maintaining network rules on the host and performing connection forwarding. keepalived cluster config a virtual IP address (192.168.20.10), this virtual IP address point to k8s-master01, k8s-master02, k8s-master03. nginx service as the load balancer of k8s-master01, k8s-master02, k8s-master03's apiserver. The other nodes kubernetes services connect the keepalived virtual ip address (192.168.20.10) and nginx exposed port (16443) to communicate with the master cluster's apiservers.
