Chalk - Terminal string styling done right

  •    Javascript

Chalk comes with an easy to use composable API where you just chain and nest the styles you want. Chain styles and call the last one as a method with a string argument. Order doesn't matter, and later styles take precedent in case of a conflict. This simply means that chalk.red.yellow.green is equivalent to chalk.green.

chalk - Intuitive package for prettifying terminal/console output

  •    Go

Chalk is a go package for styling console/terminal output. The api is pretty clean, there are default Colors and TextStyles which can be mixed to create more intense Styles. Styles and Colors can be printed in normal strings (i.e. fmt.Sprintf(chalk.Red)), but Styles, Colors and TextStyles are more meant to be used to style specific text segments (i.e. fmt.Println(chalk.Red.Color("this is red")) or fmt.Println(myStyle.Style("this is blue text that is underlined"))).

chalk - A PROLOG-ish interpreter written in Rust, intended eventually for use in the compiler

  •    Rust

A Prolog-ish interpreter written in Rust, intended perhaps for use in the compiler, but also for experimentation. How does chalk relate to rustc? The plan is to have rustc use the chalk-engine crate (in this repo), which defines chalk's solver. The rest of chalk can then be considered an elaborate unit testing harness. For more details, see the Traits chapter of the rustc-guide.

markdown-mode - Emacs Markdown Mode

  •    Emacs

markdown-mode is a major mode for editing Markdown-formatted text. The latest stable version is markdown-mode 2.3, released on August 31, 2017. See the release notes for details. markdown-mode is free software, licensed under the GNU GPL, version 3 or later. The primary documentation for Markdown Mode is available below, and is generated from comments in the source code. For a more in-depth treatment, the Guide to Markdown Mode for Emacs covers Markdown syntax, advanced movement and editing in Emacs, extensions, configuration examples, tips and tricks, and a survey of other packages that work with Markdown Mode. Finally, Emacs is also a self-documenting editor. This means that the source code itself contains additional documentation: each function has its own docstring available via C-h f (describe-function), individual keybindings can be investigated with C-h k (describe-key), and a complete list of keybindings is available using C-h m (describe-mode).

simplemde-markdown-editor - A simple, beautiful, and embeddable JavaScript Markdown editor

  •    Javascript

A drop-in JavaScript textarea replacement for writing beautiful and understandable Markdown. The WYSIWYG-esque editor allows users who may be less experienced with Markdown to use familiar toolbar buttons and shortcuts. In addition, the syntax is rendered while editing to clearly show the expected result. Headings are larger, emphasized words are italicized, links are underlined, etc. SimpleMDE is one of the first editors to feature both built-in autosaving and spell checking. WYSIWYG editors that produce HTML are often complex and buggy. Markdown solves this problem in many ways, plus Markdown can be rendered natively on more platforms than HTML. However, Markdown is not a syntax that an average user will be familiar with, nor is it visually clear while editing. In otherwords, for an unfamiliar user, the syntax they write will make little sense until they click the preview button. SimpleMDE has been designed to bridge this gap for non-technical users who are less familiar with or just learning Markdown syntax.
