  •    Javascript

This project welcomes contributors. If you have a feature you'd like to see implemented or a bug you'd liked fixed, the best and fastest way to make that happen is to implement it and submit a PR. Basic knowledge of JS is sufficient. Feel free to ask for any guidance. To use it from CLI Install it globally with -g option.

posthtml - PostHTML is a tool to transform HTML/XML with JS plugins

  •    Javascript

PostHTML is a tool for transforming HTML/XML with JS plugins. PostHTML itself is very small. It includes only a HTML parser, a HTML node tree API and a node tree stringifier. All HTML transformations are made by plugins. And these plugins are just small plain JS functions, which receive a HTML node tree, transform it, and return a modified tree.

node-htmlparser - Forgiving HTML/XML/RSS Parser in JS for *both* Node and Browsers

  •    Javascript

#NodeHtmlParser A forgiving HTML/XML/RSS parser written in JS for both the browser and NodeJS (yes, despite the name it works just fine in any modern browser). The parser can handle streams (chunked data) and supports custom handlers for writing custom DOMs/output.

node-xml2json - Converts XML to JSON using node-expat

  •    Javascript

(*) xml2json tranforms CDATA content to JSON, but it doesn't generate a reversible structure.

  •    CoffeeScript

xml-stream - XML stream parser based on Expat. Made for Node.

  •    Javascript

XmlStream is a Node.js XML stream parser and editor, based on node-expat (libexpat SAX-like parser binding). When working with large XML files, it is probably a bad idea to use an XML to JavaScript object converter, or simply buffer the whole document in memory. Then again, a typical SAX parser might be too low-level for some tasks (and often a real pain).

node-apac - node-apac - Node

  •    Javascript

apac (Amazon Product Advertising Client) will allow you to access the Amazon Product Advertising API from Node.js. Learn more about the Amazon Product Advertising API. node-apac is just a thin wrapper around Amazon's API. The only intent is to take care of request signatures, performing the HTTP requests, processing the responses and parsing the XML. You should be able to run any operation because the operation and all parameters are passed directly to the execute method just as they will be passed to Amazon. The result is that you feel like you're working directly with the API, but you don't have to worry about some of the more tedious tasks.

node-expat - libexpat XML SAX parser binding for node.js

  •    Javascript

We don't emit an error event because libexpat doesn't use a callback either. Instead, check that parse() returns true. A descriptive string can be obtained via getError() to provide user feedback. Alternatively, use the Parser like a node Stream. write() will emit error events.

id3 - A JavaScript ID3 tags parser for Node & browsers.

  •    Javascript

id3.js is a JavaScript library for reading and parsing ID3 tags of MP3 files. id3.js can parse both ID3v1 and ID3v2 tags within a browser or Node environment. It also supports reading from local files (Node-only), same-origin URLs (AJAX) and File instances (HTML5 File API). Here the MP3 is being requested by partial AJAX requests, such that only the ID3v1 and ID3v2 tags are read rather than the file as a whole.

node-xmlrpc - A pure JavaScript XML-RPC client and server for Node.js.

  •    Javascript

The xmlrpc module is a pure JavaScript XML-RPC server and client for node.js. Pure JavaScript means that the XML parsing and XML building use pure JavaScript libraries, so no extra C dependencies or build requirements. The xmlrpc module can be used as an XML-RPC server, receiving method calls and responding with method responses, or as an XML-RPC client, making method calls and receiving method responses, or as both.

node-csv - Full featured CSV parser with simple api and tested against large datasets.

markdown-js - A Markdown parser for javascript

  •    Javascript

If you want to use from the browser go to the releases page on GitHub and download the version you want (minified or not). We only officially support node >= 0.10 as the libraries we use for building and testing don't work on older versions of node. That said since this module is so simple and doesn't use any parts of the node API if you use the pre-built version and find a bug let us know and we'll try and fix it.

node-msgpack - A space-efficient object serialization library for NodeJS

  •    Javascript

node-msgpack is an addon for NodeJS that provides an API for serializing and de-serializing JavaScript objects using the MessagePack library. The performance of this addon compared to the native JSON object isn't too bad, and the space required for serialized data is far less than JSON. node-msgpack is currently slower than the built-in JSON.stringify() and JSON.parse() methods. In recent versions of node.js, the JSON functions have been heavily optimized. node-msgpack is still more compact, and we are currently working performance improvements. Testing shows that, over 500k iterations, msgpack.pack() is about 5x slower than JSON.stringify(), and msgpack.unpack() is about 3.5x slower than JSON.parse().
