layerJS - layerJS: Javascript UI composition framework

  •        81

layerJS is an open source Javascript UI/UX library allowing intuitive, visually intense, mobile app-like experiences for web apps and websites. layerJS follows the idea that any kind of interactive web content is composed of media elements on moving layers. Unlike existing UI frameworks, layerJS does not provide various UI elements (use your favorite framework for that) but focusses on how larger blocks are put together to form websites and apps and how these blocks will behave upon user interaction.

SwipeMenuViewController - Swipable tab and menu View and ViewController.

Hero - Elegant transition library for iOS & tvOS

  •    Swift

Hero is a library for building iOS view controller transitions. It provides a declarative layer on top of the UIKit's cumbersome transition APIs—making custom transitions an easy task for developers.Hero is similar to Keynote's Magic Move. It checks the heroID property on all source and destination views. Every matched view pair is then automatically transitioned from its old state to its new state.

Side-Menu.iOS - Animated side menu with customizable UI

  •    Swift

Animated side menu with customizable UI. Made in Yalantis. Check this project on dribbble. Check this project on Behance. For application targets that do not support embedded frameworks, such as iOS 7, SideMenu can be integrated by including source files from the SideMenu folder directly, optionally wrapping the top-level types into struct SideMenu to simulate a namespace. Yes, this sucks.

react-native-animatable - Standard set of easy to use animations and declarative transitions for React Native

  •    Javascript

To make looping animations simply set the iterationCount to infinite. Most animations except the attention seekers work best when setting direction to alternate. You can create your own simple transitions of a style property of your own choosing. The following example will increase the font size by 5 for every tap – all animated, all declarative! If you don't supply a duration property, a spring animation will be used.

samsara - ☸️ Continuous UI

  •    Javascript

Note: This project is not being developed further at the moment. I hope to return to it soon. SamsaraJS is a library for building continuous user interfaces. A continuous UI is one where many visual elements are animating in coordinated ways. For example, you may want to fade the opacity of a nav bar while a settings menu is translated by a user's swipe gesture. Or maybe you want to blur and scale a banner image when a user scrolls some content past its limits, and add a springy bounce at the end.

AFKPageFlipper - A simple 3-D page flip transition for iOS devices

  •    Objective-C

AFKPageFlipper is a UIView subclass that can be used to display multiple views using a 3-D page flipping mechanism similar to flipping pages in a book. The class supports both direct (by setting a property) and touch-based view transitions in both directions. The touch-based interface supports tap-to-flip on either side of the screen, and pan-to-flip in either direction from anywhere on the screen. The pan functionality is inertial, which means that the user can also swipe to flip between pages. Each subview that needs to be shown by the subview can contain any arbitrary content (including animated subviews, UI controls, and so on, although those are frozen while switching between pages for performance reasons). Subviews are requested using a just-in-time algorithm to conserve resources (especially memory). In addition, AFKPageFlipper supports less-than-fullscreen rendering—in fact, you can have multiple instances displayed on the same screen (although, to be honest, I can't imagine why you'd need them).

KMNavigationBarTransition - A drop-in universal library helps you to manage the navigation bar styles and makes transition animations smooth between different navigation bar styles while pushing or popping a view controller for all orientations

  •    Objective-C

A drop-in universal library helps you to manage the navigation bar styles and makes transition animations smooth between different navigation bar styles while pushing or popping a view controller for all orientations. And you don't need to write any line of code for it, it all happens automatically. The design concept of the library is that what you only need to care about is the background style of the navigation bar in the current view controller, without handling the various background styles while pushing or popping.

Along with the restyling of the Bootstrap elements, you will find three fully-coded example pages, to help you design your next project. Material Kit makes use of light, surface and movement. It uses a deliberate color choice, edge-to-edge imagery and large scale typography.
