kamus - An open source, git-ops, zero-trust secret encryption and decryption solution for Kubernetes applications

  •    CSharp

An open source, GitOps, zero-trust secrets encryption and decryption solution for Kubernetes applications. Kamus enable users to easily encrypt secrets than can be decrypted only by the application running on Kubernetes. The encryption is done using strong encryption providers (currently supported: Azure KeyVault, Google Cloud KMS and AES). To learn more about Kamus, check out the blog post and slides. If you're running Kamus locally the Kamus URL will be like http://localhost:<port>. So you need to add --allow-insecure-url flag to enable http protocol.

argo-cd - Declarative Continuous Delivery for Kubernetes

  •    Go

Argo CD is a declarative, GitOps continuous delivery tool for Kubernetes. Application definitions, configurations, and environments should be declarative and version controlled. Application deployment and lifecycle management should be automated, auditable, and easy to understand.

flux - The GitOps Kubernetes operator

  •    Go

Flux is a tool that automatically ensures that the state of a cluster matches the config in git. It uses an operator in the cluster to trigger deployments inside Kubernetes, which means you don't need a separate CD tool. It monitors all relevant image repositories, detects new images, triggers deployments and updates the desired running configuration based on that (and a configurable policy). The benefits are: you don't need to grant your CI access to the cluster, every change is atomic and transactional, git has your audit log. Each transaction either fails or succeeds cleanly. You're entirely code centric and don't need new infrastructure.

aws-service-operator - AWS Service Operator allows you to create AWS resources using kubectl.

  •    Go

The AWS Service Operator allows you to manage AWS resources using Kubernetes Custom Resource Definitions. Using the AWS Service Operator enables a gitops workflow to drive your infrastructure to the desired state leveraging Kubernetes Custom Resource Definitions (CRD), the Kubernetes internal control loop, and AWS cloudformation orchestration. Read more about "operators" here.

flagger - Istio and App Mesh progressive delivery Kubernetes operator

  •    Go

Flagger is a Kubernetes operator that automates the promotion of canary deployments using Istio or App Mesh routing for traffic shifting and Prometheus metrics for canary analysis. The canary analysis can be extended with webhooks for running acceptance tests, load tests or any other custom validation. Flagger implements a control loop that gradually shifts traffic to the canary while measuring key performance indicators like HTTP requests success rate, requests average duration and pods health. Based on analysis of the KPIs a canary is promoted or aborted, and the analysis result is published to Slack.

colossus - Colossus — An example microservice architecture for Kubernetes using Bazel, Go, Java, Docker, Kubernetes, Minikube, Gazelle, gRPC, Prometheus, Grafana, and more

  •    Python

Wait a second, these services don't do anything meaningful! Nope, they sure don't. But that's okay because the point of this project is to show you how to get the basic (yet not-at-all-trivial) plumbing to work. Colossus is a boilerplate project that's meant as a springboard to more complex and meaningful projects. Getting all of these technologies to work together was a real challenge. I had to dig through countless GitHub issues and dozens of example projects to make all these things work together. I'm offering this repo as a starter pack for other people with a Bazel monorepo targeting Kubernetes.

Helm - The Kubernetes Package Manager

  •    Go

Helm is a tool for managing Kubernetes charts. Charts are packages of pre-configured Kubernetes resources. It is a tool that streamlines installing and managing Kubernetes applications. Think of it like apt/yum/homebrew for Kubernetes.

minikube - Run Kubernetes locally

  •    Go

Minikube is a tool that makes it easy to run Kubernetes locally. Minikube runs a single-node Kubernetes cluster inside a VM on your laptop for users looking to try out Kubernetes or develop with it day-to-day.We also released a Debian package and Windows installer on our releases page If you maintain a minikube package, please feel free to add it here.

wasm-pack - 📦✨ your favorite rust -> wasm workflow tool!

  •    Rust

This tool seeks to be a one-stop shop for building and working with rust- generated WebAssembly that you would like to interop with JavaScript, in the browser or with Node.js. wasm-pack helps you build and publish rust-generated WebAssembly to the npm registry to be used alongside any other javascript package in workflows that you already use, such as webpack or greenkeeper. We generate a wasm-pack.log file if wasm-pack errors on you, and you can customize the log verbosity using the verbosity flag.

apiserver-builder-alpha - apiserver-builder-alpha implements libraries and tools to quickly and easily build Kubernetes apiservers to support custom resource types

  •    Go

Unless you absolutely need apiserver-aggregation, you are recommended to use Kubebuilder instead of apiserver-builder for building Kubernetes APIs. Kubebuilder builds APIs using CRDs and addresses limitations and feedback from apiserver-builder. Addon apiservers are a Kubernetes extension point allowing fully featured Kubernetes APIs to be developed on the same api-machinery used to build the core Kubernetes APIS, but with the flexibility of being distributed and installed separately from the Kubernetes project. This allows APIs to be developed outside of the Kubernetes repo and installed separately as a package.

k8s - A simple Kubernetes Go client

  •    Go

A slimmed down Go client generated using Kubernetes' new protocol buffer support. This package behaves similarly to official Kubernetes' Go client, but only imports two external dependencies.client-go is a framework for building production ready controllers, components that regularly watch API resources and push the system towards a desired state. If you're writing a program that watches several resources in a loop for long durations, client-go's informers framework is a battle tested solution which will scale with the size of the cluster.

kubespray - Deploy a Production Ready Kubernetes Cluster

  •    Python

probably pointing on a task depending on a module present in requirements.txt (i.e. "unseal vault"). One way of solving this would be to uninstall the Ansible package and then, to install it via pip but it is not always possible. A workaround consists of setting ANSIBLE_LIBRARY and ANSIBLE_MODULE_UTILS environment variables respectively to the ansible/modules and ansible/module_utils subdirectories of pip packages installation location, which can be found in the Location field of the output of pip show [package] before executing ansible-playbook.

minpac - A minimal package manager for Vim 8 (and Neovim)

  •    Vim

Minpac is a minimal package manager for Vim 8 (and Neovim). This uses the packages feature and the jobs feature which have been newly added on Vim 8. Minpac should be installed under pack/minpac/opt/ in the first directory in the 'packpath' option. Plugins installed under pack/*/start/ are automatically added to the 'runtimepath' after .vimrc is sourced. However, minpac needs to be loaded before that. Therefore, minpac should be installed under "opt" directory, and should be loaded using packadd minpac.
