tap-browser-color - A simple reporter for tap/tape that makes the body tag yellow/red/green if pending/failing/passing

  •        5

A super simple tap/tape reporter that changes the body tag background color depending on if the tests are passing, failing, or pending. This is meant for live-coding or environments where you want a big swath of color when your test status changes.

BFPaperCheckbox - iOS Checkboxes inspired by Google's Paper Material Design.

  •    Objective-C

iOS Checkboxes inspired by Google's Paper Material Design. BFPaperCheckbox is a subclass of UIControl that behaves much like the new paper checkboxes from Google's Material Design Labs. All animation are asynchronous and are performed on sublayers. BFPaperCheckboxes work right away with pleasing default behaviors, however they can be easily customized! The checkmark color and tap-circle color, both positive and negative (for checked and unchecked) are all readily customizable via public properties. You can also set whether or not the tap-circle should appear from the location of the tap, or directly from the center of the control.

tape - tap-producing test harness for node and browsers

  •    Javascript

Depending on the module you're loading, you may be able to paramaterize it using environment variables or auxiliary files. Babel, for instance, will load options from .babelrc at runtime. The -r flag behaves exactly like node's require, and uses the same module resolution algorithm. This means that if you need to load local modules, you have to prepend their path with ./ or ../ accordingly.

All animation are asynchronous and are performed on sublayers. BFPaperButtons work right away with pleasing default behaviors, however they can be easily customized! The corner radius, tap-circle color, background fade color, and tap-circle diameter are all readily customizable via public properties.

FlexiColorPicker - A pure JavaScript color picker - no images, external libraries, CSS or 1px divs.

  •    Javascript

FlexiColorPicker is based on HSV color model. The only two parts of the color picker are therefore the slider for selecting hue value and the picker for selecting saturation and value. Both the slider and picker are HTML elements (usually <div>'s) that serve as wrappers for SVG/VML gradient rectangles. The slider gradient rectangle represents the hue value (gradient with 9 stop-colors). The two overlapping black and white gradient rectangles of the picker represent the saturation and value values. The top level elements (<svg> in case of SVG enabled browser and <div> in case of VML enabled browser) that wrap each of the slider and picker gradient rectangles have set width and height to 100% which means that the color picker components (slider and picker) adjust themselfs automatically to the dimensions of the slider and picker HTML elements. This is the no-hassle form of creating the color picker. This is the recommended call.

generator-style-prototype - Yeoman Generator for Style Prototypes

  •    Javascript

Style Prototypes are a Pattern Library tool for designing in browser. Style prototyping is a technique used to create a typical instance of a design from which a final site can be assembled. Style Prototypes are a unique tool because, not only are they responsive by default (meaning your client will be able to sign off on styles they've been able to see natively on all browsers and devices), they encourage Style and Color Guide driven Style Tile and Component Guide generation. This means that after you've built out your Style Tile, you'll be on your way to having finished your Style Guide, which you need to for Style Guide Driven Design (and coincidentally takes lots of design decisions off of the shoulders of Front End Developers). You'll also never need to have someone guess at what colors they can use with a fully built out Color Guide with both hex and Sass values.

tappy - Tappy! - a lightweight normalized tap event.

  •    CSS

Tappy is a minimal normalized tap event that works with touch, mouse, keyboard, and probably other inputs too. Tappy allows you to bind to a tap event like you would any other user interaction, like click. The advantage of usting Tappy's tap event over click is that it will allow you to execute code immediately on touch devices, eliminating the 300ms delay that click events have on platforms like iOS. Once bound to an element, Tappy's tap event will fire upon touch or other traditional interactions like mouse click, pressing the enter key, and more.

CHChromaHashView - A classic password visualization concept, ported to iOS

  •    Objective-C

Password entry can be frustrating, especially with long or difficult passwords. Secure fields obscure your input with •'s, so others can't read it. Unfortunately, neither can you—you can't tell if you got your password right until you tap "Log In". Chroma-Hash displays a series of colored bars at the end of field inputs so you can instantly see if your password is right. Chroma-Hash takes an MD5 hash of your input and uses that to compute the colors in the visualization. The resulting color pattern is non-reversible, so no one could know what your password just from the colors.
