pg_jobmon - PostgreSQL Extension for logging and monitoring automated jobs

  •        51

Log into PostgreSQL and run the following commands. Schema can be whatever you wish, but it cannot be changed after installation. This extension uses dblink to connect back to the same database that pg_jobmon is running on (this is how the non-transactional magic is done). To allow non-superusers to use dblink, you'll need to enter role credentials into the dblink_mapping_jobmon table that pg_jobmon installs.

PostgreSQL - Powerful, Open Source Object-Relational Database System

  •    C

PostgreSQL is a powerful, open source object-relational database system. It has more than 15 years of active development and a proven architecture that has earned it a strong reputation for reliability, data integrity, and correctness. It is fully ACID compliant, has full support for foreign keys, joins, views, triggers, and stored procedures (in multiple languages). It has native programming interfaces for most of the programming language.

pgMail - PostgreSQL Email Stored Funct.

  •    Perl

pgMail is a small TCL based script that you can store within any PostgreSQL database. Once it is stored there, you can create any number of specialized procedures to send email from directly within PostgreSQL like emailing a customer when product ships. FYI! This project has moved to GITHUB! You can see the repository here: WE HAVE MOVED!!! Please visit the project page (linked below) for all new and relevant information, including requests for help!

Scheme-PG is a MzScheme extension and set of associated Scheme procedures and macros that combine to provide a simple yet powerful interface between PLT Scheme and the PostgreSQL database management system.

pg-boss - Queueing jobs in Node.js using PostgreSQL like a boss

  •    Javascript

pg-boss is a job queue built in Node.js on top of PostgreSQL in order to provide background processing and reliable asynchronous execution to Node.js applications. pg-boss relies on SKIP LOCKED, a feature introduced in PostgreSQL 9.5 written specifically for message queues, in order to resolve record locking challenges inherent with relational databases. This brings the safety of guaranteed atomic commits of a relational database to your asynchronous job processing.

agensgraph - AgensGraph, a transactional graph database based on PostgreSQL

  •    C

AgensGraph is a new generation multi-model graph database for the modern complex data environment. AgensGraph is a multi-model database, which supports the relational and graph data model at the same time that enables developers to integrate the legacy relational data model and the flexible graph data model in one database. AgensGraph supports ANSI-SQL and openCypher ( SQL queries and Cypher queries can be integrated into a single query in AgensGraph. AgensGraph is based on the powerful PostgreSQL RDBMS, and is very robust, fully-featured and ready for enterprise use. AgensGraph is optimized for handling complex connected graph data and provides plenty of powerful database features essential to the enterprise database environment including ACID transactions, multi-version concurrency control, stored procedure, triggers, constraints, sophisticated monitoring and a flexible data model (JSON). Moreover, AgensGraph leverages the rich eco-systems of PostgreSQL and can be extended with many outstanding external modules, like PostGIS.

PGObserver - A battle-tested, flexible & comprehensive monitoring solution for your PostgreSQL databases

  •    Python

PGObserver is a battle-tested monitoring solution for your PostgreSQL databases. It covers almost all the metrics provided by the database engine's internal statistics collector, and works out of the box with all PostgreSQL versions (beginning with 9.0) as well as AWS RDS. You don’t have to install any non-standard, server-side database extensions to take advantage of its core functionality, nor do you need to register any privileged users. For some metrics you must install data-gathering wrapper functions — also known as stored procedures — on the server being monitored. This will enable you to circumvent the superuser requirements.

upsert - Upsert on MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQLite3

  •    Ruby

Make it easy to upsert on traditional RDBMS like MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQLite3—hey look NoSQL!. Transparently creates (and re-uses) stored procedures/functions when necessary. You pass it a bare-metal connection to the database like Mysql2::Client (from mysql2 gem on MRI) or Java::OrgPostgresqlJdbc4::Jdbc4Connection (from jdbc-postgres on Jruby).
