deferred - Modular and fast Promises implementation for JavaScript

  •    Javascript

Deferred is complete, one of the fastest and natural promise implementation in JavaScript, with Deferred you can write clear maintainable code that takes maximum out of asynchronicity, in fact due to multi-dimensional nature of promises (chaining and nesting) you're forced to program declaratively. With Deferred you also can: Process collections of deferred calls. Handle Node.js asynchronous functions. Limit concurrency of scheduled tasks. Emit progress events or stream results partially on the go.

promise-fun - Promise packages, patterns, chat, and tutorials

  •

I intend to use this space to document my promise modules, useful promise patterns, and how to solve common problems. For now though, you can see all my promise modules below.Star this repo to show your interest, so I can know whether to prioritize this work.

node-promise-mysql

  •    Javascript

Promise-mysql is a wrapper for mysqljs/mysql that wraps function calls with Bluebird promises. Usually this would be done with Bluebird's .promisifyAll() method, but mysqljs/mysql's footprint is different to that of what Bluebird expects. At the minute only the standard connection (using .createConnection()) and the pool (using .createPool()) is supported. createPoolCluster is not implemented yet.

httpinvoke - A no-dependencies HTTP client library for browsers and Node

  •    Javascript

A no-dependencies HTTP client library for browsers and Node.js with a promise-based or Node.js-style callback-based API to progress events, text and binary file upload and download, partial response body, request and response headers, status code. Any one, two or three arguments can be skipped, except the url.

redux-pack - Sensible promise handling and middleware for redux

  •    Javascript

redux-pack is a library that introduces promise-based middleware that allows async actions based on the lifecycle of a promise to be declarative. Async actions in redux are often done using redux-thunk or other middlewares. The problem with this approach is that it makes it too easy to use dispatch sequentially, and dispatch multiple "actions" as the result of the same interaction/event, where they probably should have just been a single action dispatch.

Awaity.js - A functional, lightweight alternative to bluebird.js, built with async / await in mind.

  •    Javascript

A functional, lightweight alternative to bluebird.js, built with async / await in mind. Functional utility library for async / await Think lodash for promises.

redux-promise-middleware - Enables simple, yet robust handling of async action creators in Redux

  •    Javascript

Redux Promise Middleware enables simple, yet robust handling of async action creators in Redux. Given a single action with an async payload, the middleware transforms the action to a separate a pending action and a separate fulfilled/rejected action, representing the states of the async action.

posterus - Composable async primitives (futures) with cancelation, control over scheduling, and coroutines

  •    Javascript

Posterus is a library of promise-like asynchronous primitives (futures) that support cancelation. Futures compose just like promises, but can also be cleanly shut down, aborting pending operations and freeing resources. Posterus also exposes its inner scheduling capabilities, allowing you to "opt out" of asynchrony when needed (motivating example).

idb-keyval - A super-simple-small promise-based keyval store implemented with IndexedDB

  •    Javascript

This is a super-simple-small promise-based keyval store implemented with IndexedDB, largely based on async-storage by Mozilla. This is only a keyval store. If you need to do more complex things like iteration & indexing, check out IDB on NPM (a little heavier at 1.7k). The first example in its README is how to recreate this library.

when-dom-ready - $(document).ready() for the 21st century

  •    Javascript

Returns a Promise for cleaner usage, provides a Promise chain helper function and can also be used as a pure function. The Promise will resolve instantly if the DOM is already ready. There is also a little helper function, whenDomReady.resume(), that pauses the execution of a Promise chain and then resumes it with the last value once the DOM is ready.

react-native-wechat - 🚀 WeChat login, share, favorite and payment for React-Native on iOS and Android platforms (QQ: 336021910)

  •    Objective-C

react-native-wechat exposes the promise-based, therefore you could use Promise or async/await to manage your dataflow. This method should be called once globally.

express-promise - Middleware for easy rendering of async Query results.

  •    Javascript

An express.js middleware for easy rendering async query. This library supports the following methods: res.send, res.json, res.render.

p-progress - Create a promise that reports progress

  •    Javascript

Useful for reporting progress to the user during long-running async operations.Same as the Promise constructor, but with an appended progress parameter in executor.
