alpine-pypy - Docker-based builds for PyPy on Alpine Linux

  •        240

Note: New builds/images of PyPy will use the latest Alpine Linux release available as of the release of that version of PyPy. The Alpine Linux version will be included in the name of the built archive going forward. Also, new Docker images will be released only with the full PyPy and Alpine Linux versions included in the tag. Docker-based builds for PyPy on Alpine Linux.

alpine-pkg-glibc - A glibc compatibility layer package for Alpine Linux

  •    Shell

This is the GNU C library as a Alpine Linux package to run binaries linked against glibc. This package utilizes a custom built glibc binary based on the vanilla glibc source. Built binary artifacts come from https://github.com/sgerrand/docker-glibc-builder. See the releases page for the latest download links. If you are using tools like localdef you will need the glibc-bin and glibc-i18n packages in addition to the glibc package.

docker-alpine-glibc - Carefully crafted Alpine Docker image with glibc (~12MB)

  •

This image is based on Alpine Linux image, which is only a 5MB image, and contains glibc to enable proprietary projects compiled against glibc (e.g. OracleJDK, Anaconda) work on Alpine. This image includes some quirks to make glibc work side by side with musl libc (default in Alpine Linux). glibc packages for Alpine Linux are prepared by Sasha Gerrand and the releases are published in sgerrand/alpine-pkg-glibc github repo.

docker-alpine - Alpine Linux Docker image. Win at minimalism!

  •    Shell

A super small Docker image based on Alpine Linux. The image is only 5 MB and has access to a package repository that is much more complete than other BusyBox based images. This makes Alpine Linux a great image base for utilities and even production applications. Read more about Alpine Linux here and you can see how their mantra fits in right at home with Docker images.

docker-alpine - Docker containers running Alpine Linux and s6 for process management

  •    Shell

Highly configurable Docker images running Alpine linux and s6 process management. Using Docker makes your infrastructure and environment consistent, testable, scalable and repeatable.

alpine-node - Minimal Node.js Docker Images built on Alpine Linux

  •

Versions v9.4.0, v8.9.4, v6.12.3, v4.8.7, v0.12.18 and v0.10.48 – built on Alpine Linux.Major io.js versions are tagged too.

docker-alpine-java - Oracle Java8 over AlpineLinux with glibc 2.27

  •    Smarty

Basic Docker image to run Java applications. This image is based on AlpineLinux to keep the size down, yet smaller images do exist. Includes BASH, since many Java applications like to have convoluted BASH start-up scripts. All tags upgraded to alpine:3.4 Latest tags are based on alpine:3.7.

jekyll-docker - :ship: Docker images and builders for Jekyll.

  •    Shell

The standard images (jekyll/jekyll) include a default set of "dev" packages, along with Node.js, and other stuff that makes Jekyll easy. It also includes a bunch of default gems that the community wishes us to maintain on the image. The builder image comes with extra stuff that is not included in the standard image, like lftp, openssh and other extra packages meant to be used by people who are deploying their Jekyll builds to another server with a CI.

docker-homebridge - Homebridge Docker

  •    Shell

This Alpine/Debian Linux based Docker image allows you to run Nfarina's Homebridge on your home network which emulates the iOS HomeKit API. Homebridge requires full access to your local network to function correctly which can be achieved using the --net=host flag. Currently this image will not work when using Docker for Mac or Docker for Windows due to this and this.

portable-pypy - Portable 64 bit x86 PyPy binaries for many Linux distributions.

  •    Python

This repository contains efforts to build 64 bit x86 PyPy binaries for various Linux distributions. The idea is that you just download an archive, uncompress it and run it instantly without installing any extra libraries or tweaking your OS. Currently they are known to work across various DEB and RPM based distributions including RHEL/Centos 6 and later, Fedora, SuSE Linux, Ubuntu and Debian stable. PyPy binaries should run on any distribution that includes glibc 2.17. In this case you don't have to add -p switch as it defaults to pypy binary located in the build.

uwsgi-nginx-flask-docker - Docker image with uWSGI and Nginx for Flask applications in Python running in a single container

  •    Shell

Docker image with uWSGI and Nginx for Flask web applications in Python 3.6, Python 3.5 and Python 2.7 running in a single container. Optionally using Alpine Linux. This Docker image allows you to create Flask web applications in Python that run with uWSGI and Nginx in a single container.

ffmpeg - Docker build for FFmpeg on Ubuntu / Alpine / Centos 7 / Scratch

  •    Python

This project prepares a minimalist Docker image with FFmpeg. It compiles FFmpeg from sources following instructions from the Compilation Guide. You can install the latest build of this image by running docker pull jrottenberg/ffmpeg.

docker-alpine-oraclejdk8 - Small Docker image with OracleJDK 8 (167MB)

  •

This image is based on Alpine Linux image, which is only a 5MB image, and contains OracleJDK 8. You must accept the Oracle Binary Code License Agreement for Java SE to use this image (see #6 for details).

docker-baseimage-gui - A minimal docker baseimage to ease creation of X graphical application containers

  •    Javascript

This is a docker baseimage that can be used to create containers able to run any X application on a headless server very easily. The application's GUI is accessed through a modern web browser (no installation or configuration needed on the client side) or via any VNC client. Note that using the Alpine image with glibc integrated (alpine-3.5-glibc tag) may ease integration of applications.

PyPy - fast, compliant alternative implementation of the Python language

  •    Python

PyPy is a fast, compliant alternative implementation of the Python language. It supports most of the commonly used Python standard library modules. Its feature include Just-in-Time compiler, Less memory usage, support Stackless and lot more. PyPy focuses on speed, efficiency and 100% compatibility with the original CPython interpreter. It was conceived as an implementation of Python written in Python, which enables Python developers to hack the implementation.

pyperformance - Python Performance Benchmark Suite

  •    Python

The pyperformance project is intended to be an authoritative source of benchmarks for all Python implementations. The focus is on real-world benchmarks, rather than synthetic benchmarks, using whole applications when possible. pyperformance is not tuned for PyPy yet: use the PyPy benchmarks project instead to measure PyPy performances.

pypika - PyPika is a SQL query builder with a pythonic syntax that doesn't limit the expressiveness of SQL

  •    Python

PyPika is a Python API for building SQL queries. The motivation behind PyPika is to provide a simple interface for building SQL queries without limiting the flexibility of handwritten SQL. Designed with data analysis in mind, PyPika leverages the builder design pattern to construct queries to avoid messy string formatting and concatenation. It is also easily extended to take full advantage of specific features of SQL database vendors. PyPika supports python 2.7 and 3.3+. It may also work on pypy, cython, and jython, but is not being tested for these versions.
