  •    Javascript

A small library for generalized transformation of data. This provides a bunch of transformation functions that can be applied to any data structure. It is a direct port of Clojure's transducers in JavaScript. Read more in this post. The algorithm behind this, explained in the above post, not only allows for it to work with any data structure (arrays, objects, iterators, immutable data structures, you name it) but it also provides better performance than other alternatives such as underscore or lodash. This is because there are no intermediate collections. See this post for benchmarks.

flow-js - Javascript Library for Multi-step Asynchronous Logic

  •    Javascript

Flow-JS provides a continuation-esque construct that makes it much easier to express multi-step asynchronous logic in non-blocking callback-heavy environments like Node.js or javascript in the web browser. The concept is best explained with an example. The following code uses a simple asynchronous key-store to look-up a user's ID from his username and then sets his email address, first name, and last name.

wayfarer - :eyeglasses: composable trie based router

  •    Javascript

Composable trie based router. It's faster than traditional, linear, regular expression-matching routers, although insignficantly, and scales with the number of routes. If you're looking for a client-side router check out sheet-router. If you're looking for a server router check out server-router.

tobi - Tobi: Expressive server-side functional testing with jQuery

  •    Javascript

Expressive server-side functional testing with jQuery and jsdom. Tobi allows you to test your web application as if it were a browser. Interactions with your app are performed via jsdom, htmlparser, and jQuery, in combination with Tobi's Cookie Jar, provides a natural JavaScript API for traversing, manipulating and asserting the DOM, and session based browsing.

VIE - Semantic Interaction Framework for JavaScript

  •    Javascript

VIE is a utility library for implementing decoupled Content Management systems. VIE is developed as part of the EU-funded IKS project.VIE development is now targeting a 2.0 release. Read this blog post to find out the changes from VIE 1.0. There is also a good introductory post on VIE on the IKS blog.

bionode - Modular and universal bioinformatics

  •    Javascript

To use bionode as a command line tool, you can install it globally with -g. Or, if you want to use it as a JavaScript library, you need to install it in your local project folder inside the node_modules directory by doing the same command without -g.

vogue - Save a CSS file, watch your web browser automatically reload it!

  •    Javascript

Vogue creates a real-time link between your web browser and your file system. When you save a CSS file, used by the HTML page in your browser, Vogue will make the browser reload the stylesheet. Only the stylesheet is reloaded, not the entire page, making it work even for very dynamic/ajax pages.Vogue is all javascript. It runs a server on Node.js, which will watch the file system. The server accepts WebSocket connections from the client code (which uses socket.io). The client javascript can be loaded into a HTML page using a single script tag.

browsh - A fully-modern text-based browser, rendering to TTY and browsers

  •    Javascript

Not all the world has good Internet. If you only have a 3kbps internet connection tethered from a phone, then it's good to SSH into a server and browse the web through, say, elinks. That way the server downloads the web pages and uses the limited bandwidth of an SSH connection to display the result. However, traditional text-based browsers lack JS and all other modern HTML5 support. Browsh is different in that it's backed by a real browser, namely headless Firefox, to create a purely text-based version of web pages and web apps. These can be easily rendered in a terminal or indeed, ironically, in another browser. Do note that currently the browser client doesn't have feature parity with the terminal client.

Blazor - Build client web apps with C#

  •    CSharp

Blazor lets you build interactive web UIs using C# instead of JavaScript. Blazor apps are composed of reusable web UI components implemented using C#, HTML, and CSS. Both client and server code is written in C#, allowing you to share code and libraries.

inherits - Easy simple tiny inheritance in JavaScript

  •    Javascript

Browser-friendly inheritance fully compatible with standard node.js inherits. This package exports standard inherits from node.js util module in node environment, but also provides alternative browser-friendly implementation through browser field. Alternative implementation is a literal copy of standard one located in standalone module to avoid requiring of util. It also has a shim for old browsers with no Object.create support.

valentine - JavaScripts Functional Sister

  •    Javascript

JavaScript's Sister, and protector — inspired by Underscore; Valentine provides you with type checking, functional iterators, and common utility helpers such as waterfalls, queues, and parallels; all utilizing native JavaScript methods for optimal speed. As of version 2.0.0 — Valentine no longer supports <= IE8 and <= Safari 4. It's been real, but time to move on. To access this level of support, use the 1.8 tag.

funcy - A fancy and practical functional tools

A collection of fancy functional tools focused on practicality. Inspired by clojure, underscore and my own abstractions. Keep reading to get an overview or read the docs. Or jump directly to cheatsheet.

  •    CSharp

A CS development framework based on small-to-medium sized refining, covering computer-side, web-side, and mobile-side full-platform system templates, will include some commonly used repetitive function codes, such as network communication mechanisms, in most one-to-many system designs. Client version control, account control management, password modification, announcement management, server configuration, various common windows, etc., and most small and medium-sized systems just need simple rights management.  This framework contains four client-side modes, the first commonly used winform client, the second is the wpf client, the third is the asp.net mvc mode, and the fourth is the client of the Android platform. You can choose a mode on winform and wpf clients, then your system provides some functions (such as report viewing) to asp.net, and then provide an Android app for mobile phone use, if the server is assumed in the cloud, all People can interact with anytime, anywhere, data flow, all account models are unified, the browser is also convenient for some people who only need to view the report users do not need to deploy the client. Of course, the client can provide more powerful features.

ezel - A boilerplate for Backbone projects that share code server/client, render server/client, and scale through modular architecture

  •    Javascript

A boilerplate for Backbone projects that share code server/client, render server/client, and scale through modular architecture. Used at Artsy to bootstrap new projects, see our blog post on it.Ezel makes it easy to write and maintain Backbone apps that run in the browser and on the server using Node.js. Built on popular libraries like Express, Backbone, and Browserify, Ezel isn't a framework or library of its own, but rather a boilerplate of libraries and patterns that can be leveraged or abandoned as needed.

underscore.py - Python port of underscore.js

  •    Python

NOTE: It's obvious that python already has nearly all features of underscore library built-in. I'm not trying to fill any gap in python. If you are coming from JavaScript this library will provide you a familiar interface, a set of tools you already know how to use and micro templating functionality. Use it wisely and try to use built-in functions wherever possible.

bottomline - A full-on PHP manipulation utility-belt that provides support for the usual functional

  •    PHP

bottomline is a PHP utility library, similar to Underscore/Lodash, that utilizes namespaces and dynamic autoloading to improve performance. NOTE: bottomline is not currently in feature parity with Underscore/Lodash. Review the contributing section for more information.

react-server-routing-example - An example using universal client/server routing and data in React with AWS DynamoDB

  •    Javascript

A simple (no compile) example of how to do universal server/browser rendering, routing and data fetching with React and AWS DynamoDB for fast page loads, and search-engine-friendly progressively-enhanced pages. Also known as isomorphic, this approach shares as much browser and server code as possible and allows single-page apps to also render on the server. All React components, as well as router.js and db.js are shared (using browserify) and data fetching needs are declared statically on each component.
