ws-tcp-relay - A simple relay between WebSocket clients and TCP servers

  •        366

An extremely simple relay/bridge/proxy between WebSocket clients and TCP servers. Data received from WebSocket clients is simply forwarded to the specified TCP server, and vice-versa. In other words, it's websocketd, but for TCP connections instead of STDIN and STDOUT. By default, golang.org/x/net/websocket uses text frames to deliver payload data. To use binary frames instead, use either the b or binary flags.

websockify - WebSockets support for any application/server

  •    C

Websockify is a WebSocket to TCP proxy/bridge. This allows a browser to connect to any application/server/service. Implementations in Python, C, Node.js and Ruby. websockify just translates WebSockets traffic to normal socket traffic. Websockify accepts the WebSockets handshake, parses it, and then begins forwarding traffic between the client and the target in both directions.

  •    Go

Pull Request is welcomed. First, you need to clone the project to your account, and then modify the code on the dev branch. Finally, Pull Request to dev branch of goproxy project, and contribute code for efficiency. PR needs to explain what changes have been made and why you change them. Asio service is used to host all clients/servers based on Asio C++ library. It is implemented based on Asio C++ Library and use a separate thread to perform all asynchronous IO operations and communications.

NetCoreServer - Ultra fast and low latency asynchronous socket server & client C#

  •    CSharp

Ultra fast and low latency asynchronous socket server & client C# .NET Core library with support TCP, SSL, UDP, HTTP, HTTPS, WebSocket protocols and 10K connections problem solution. Here comes the example of the TCP chat server. It handles multiple TCP client sessions and multicast received message from any session to all ones. Also it is possible to send admin message directly from the server.

  •    C

Kamailio (successor of former OpenSER and SER) is an open source implementation of a SIP Signaling Server. SIP is an open standard protocol specified by the IETF. The core specification document is RFC3261.

tcp-over-websockets - Tunnel TCP through WebSockets.

  •    Javascript

Tunnel TCP through WebSockets. Access anything you want, even from a crappy WiFi which only allows HTTPS. Note: chisel is probably the same thing but better. @mdslab/wstun is similar.

vpn-ws - A VPN system over websockets

  •    C

This is the client/server implementation of a layer-2 software switch able to route packets over websockets connections. A client creates a tap (ethernet-like) local device and connects to a websocket server (preferably over HTTPS). Once the websocket handshake is done, every packet received from the tuntap will be forwarded to the websocket server, and every websocket packet received from the server will be forwarded to the tuntap device.

Simple-WebSocket-Server - A very simple, fast, multithreaded, platform independent WebSocket (WS) and WebSocket Secure (WSS) server and client library implemented using C++11, Boost

  •    C++

A very simple, fast, multithreaded, platform independent WebSocket (WS) and WebSocket Secure (WSS) server and client library implemented using C++11, Asio (both Boost.Asio and standalone Asio can be used) and OpenSSL. Created to be an easy way to make WebSocket endpoints in C++. See https://github.com/eidheim/Simple-Web-Server for an easy way to make REST resources available from C++ applications. serial-port-json-server - A serial port JSON websocket server for Windows, Mac, Linux, Raspberry Pi, or BeagleBone Black that lets you communicate with your serial port from a web application

  •    Go

A serial port JSON websocket & web server that runs from the command line on Windows, Mac, Linux, Raspberry Pi, or Beagle Bone that lets you communicate with your serial port from a web application. This enables web apps to be written that can communicate with your local serial device such as an Arduino, CNC controller, or any device that communicates over the serial port. Since version 1.82 you can now also program your Arduino by uploading a hex file. The app is written in Go. It has an embedded web server and websocket server. The server runs on the standard port of localhost:8989. You can connect to it locally with your browser to interact by visiting http://localhost:8989. The websocket is technically running at ws://localhost/ws. You can of course connect to your websocket from any other computer to bind in remotely. For example, just connect to ws://192.168.1.10/ws if you are on a remote host where 192.168.1.10 is your devices actual IP address.

Workerman - An asynchronous event driven PHP framework for easily building fast, scalable network applications

arduinoWebSockets - arduinoWebSockets

  •    C++

a WebSocket Server and Client for Arduino based on RFC6455. version 2.0 and up is not compatible with AVR/ATmega, check ATmega branch.

Ratchet - Asynchronous WebSocket server

  •    PHP

A PHP library for asynchronously serving WebSockets. Build up your application through simple interfaces and re-use your application without changing any of its code just by combining different components. Shell access is required and root access is recommended. To avoid proxy/firewall blockage it's recommended WebSockets are requested on port 80 or 443 (SSL), which requires root access. In order to do this, along with your sync web stack, you can either use a reverse proxy or two separate machines. You can find more details in the server conf docs.

Cross-platform TCP spy and relay

  •    Java

This program can redirect TCP traffic from TCP clients to any destination IP and port. The information about TCP transactions including data packets themselves can be sent to an external TCP observer (client or server). There is also a log file.

primus - :zap: Primus, the creator god of the transformers & an abstraction layer for real-time to prevent module lock-in

  •    Javascript

Primus, the creator god of transformers but now also known as universal wrapper for real-time frameworks. There are a lot of real-time frameworks available for Node.js and they all have different opinions on how real-time should be done. Primus provides a common low level interface to communicate in real-time using various real-time frameworks. If you deploy your application behind a reverse proxy (Nginx, HAProxy, etc.) you might need to add WebSocket specific settings to its configuration files. If you intend to use WebSockets, please ensure that these settings have been added. There are some example configuration files available in the observing/balancerbattle repository.

Soketi - Just another simple, fast, and resilient open-source WebSockets server

  •    Typescript

The soketi server is built on top of uWebSockets.js - a C application ported to Node.js. uWebSockets.js is demonstrated to perform at levels 8.5x that of Fastify and at least 10x that of Socket.IO. It implements the Pusher Protocol v7. Therefore, any Pusher-maintained or compatible client can connect to it, bringing a plug-and-play experience for existing applications that are already compatible with this protocol.

gs-messaging-stomp-websocket - Using WebSocket to build an interactive web application :: Learn how to the send and receive messages between a browser and the server over a WebSocket

  •    Java

This guide walks you through the process of creating a "hello world" application that sends messages back and forth, between a browser and the server. WebSocket is a very thin, lightweight layer above TCP. It makes it very suitable to use "subprotocols" to embed messages. In this guide we’ll dive in and use STOMP messaging with Spring to create an interactive web application. You’ll build a server that will accept a message carrying a user’s name. In response, it will push a greeting into a queue that the client is subscribed to.

ws-rs - Lightweight, event-driven WebSockets for Rust.

  •    Rust

Lightweight, event-driven WebSockets for Rust. This library provides an implementation of WebSockets, RFC6455 using MIO. It allows for handling multiple connections on a single thread, and even spawning new client connections on the same thread. This makes for very fast and resource efficient WebSockets. The API design abstracts away the menial parts of the WebSocket protocol and allows you to focus on application code without worrying about protocol conformance. However, it is also possible to get low-level access to individual WebSocket frames if you need to write extensions or want to optimize around the WebSocket protocol.
