bitwrk - Bitcoin-fueled Peer-to-Peer Blender Rendering (and more)

  •        12

Artists use Blender, a powerful yet free 3D software, to create impressive pictures and movies. This a requires a time-consuming, and costly, production step called rendering.BitWrk integrates with Blender and makes rendering much quicker by dispatching it to a swarm of computers.

Blender - 3D content creation suite

  •    Python

Blender helps to model, shade, animate, render, composite interactive 3d content. Blender's features include 3D modeling, UV unwrapping, texturing, rigging and skinning, fluid and smoke simulation, particle simulation, animating, match moving, camera tracking, rendering, video editing and compositing. It also features a built-in game engine.

coa_tools - COA Tools is a 2D Animation Suite for blender

  •    Python

This is the Documentation for the Blender/Godot Addon Cutout Animation Tools. The Cutout Animation Tools (COA Tools) Addon for blender is a 2D rigging and animation suite. It offers you similar tools as for example programs like Spine or Spriter. COA Tools offer you a rapid workflow to create 2D Cutout Character/Animations in blender. Thanks to blenders great animation system and and this addon you get a powerfull solution to create 2D animations. It is parted into 3 different components. Photoshop sprite exporter, Blender Addon, Godot importer.

bdx - A cross-platform game engine for Blender 3D

  •    Java

BDX is a small 3D game engine, designed to work with Blender (as an addon), and built to leverage libGDX, along with the Bullet physics library (specifically, the gbullet port). It features a straightforward execution model, supported by a relatively simple API, enabling the programmer to effectively define object behavior within a typical blender scene. From a "build and deploy" perspective, BDX projects are simply extended libGDX projects, which means that you can use the same gradle-powered pipeline to deploy BDX games to any platform that's currently supported by libGDX (Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, HTML5, Android and iOS).

armory - 3D Game Engine for Blender

  •    Python

In development! Armory is a real-time 3D engine aimed at creation of 3D games and applications - featuring full Blender integration, state of art rendering and ultra portability. The engine is currently available in a form of early preview.

glTF-Blender-Exporter - Blender glTF 2.0 exporter

  •    Python

This is the offical Khronos Blender glTF 2.0 exporter. This repository mainly contains Python scripts to export the internal Blender data structure to glTF 2.0. Node groups are also provided, to simulate glTF Physically-Based Rendering (PBR) materials using the Cycles renderer. Finally, several Blender scenes are provided demonstrating each feature individually. The Khronos glTF 2.0 exporter is not available in the Add-ons tab by default, and must be installed manually by copying the scripts/addons/io_scene_gltf2 folder into the scripts/addons/ directory of the Blender installation, then enabling it under the Add-ons tab. Read detailed installation instructions here.

BLIX is a cross-platform set of Python extension modules and Python scripts for Blender (www.blender.org). These scripts add camera calibration, 3D reconstruction and rigid body orientation to Blender.

herebedragons - A basic 3D scene implemented with various engines, frameworks or APIs.

  •    C

Hic sunt dracones. This repository contains multiple implementations of the same 3D scene, using different APIs and frameworks on various platforms. The goal is to provide a comparison between multiple rendering methods. This is inherently biased due to the variety of algorithms used and available CPU/GPU configurations, but can hopefully still provide interesting insights on 3D rendering.

filmic-blender - Filmic View and Look Transformations for Blender

  •

This is a simple OpenColorIO configuration for intermediate to advanced imagers using Blender's Cycles raytracing engine. This OpenColorIO configuration adds a closer-to-photorealistic view transform for your renders. For imagers working with non-photorealistic rendering, it also will bring significant dynamic range and lighting capabilities to your work, as well as potentially open up correct transforms for rendering to HDR displays and other such forward looking technology. It is as close to a Magic Button™ you can get for an experienced imager.

Or check out the hosted live demo of HelloWorld v3 and live demo of Animation v2. With this example I wanted to explore how to create my own geometries and render it within ReactVR. I evaluated a couple of tools and in the end decided to go with Blender. I'm still struggling with the interface a bit, but Blender is open source has all the advanced features I will probably need for the next couple of years.
