Our SDK provides tools for adding photo editing capabilities to your iOS application with a big variety of filters that can be previewed in realtime. Unlike other apps that allow a live preview of filters, the PhotoEditor SDK even provides a live preview when using high-resolution images. The framework is written in Swift and allows for easy customization. Additionally we support adding stickers and text in a non-destructive manner, which means that you can change the position, size, scale and order at any given time, even after applying other effects or cropping the photo. However, it currently lacks some of the more advanced features of Core Image, such as facial detection. These days everyone seems to want instagram-style filters for images on iPhone. The way to do this (I think) is to examine how people have implemented equivalent filters in Photoshop and code them in objective c. Unfortunately, the imaging libraries are all geared for gaming. For non-game developers who just want simple image processing, this is overkill. The problem with my curves implementation is that I didn't use the same kind of curve algorithm as Photoshop uses. Mainly, because I don't know how, and other than the name of the curve (bicubic) all the posts and documentation I simply don't understand or cannot figure out how to port to iOS. But, the curves I use (catmull-rom) seem close enough.

iOS-blur - Blur a UIView

What's the best way to teach interns how to write an iOS app? Just let them do it! This app is the result of our interns’ collaboration. This app was created for educational purposes and we used all our common practices just like we do when creating commercial apps. Read more about AGILE on our blog. We followed gitflow approach and merge requests in order to check the code. This approach let our senior developers share their valuable expertise with interns. Delivering builds for testing was automated through Continuous Integration Server. One of our mentors pretended to be a customer who came to us with an idea for an app. While we were working on the app, he regularly received new builds - in time and after each sprint. Guys went the whole way from an idea and basic design concept to generating provisioning profiles and certificates and deploying the final build to iTunes Connect.
