TF - AutoHotkey library for Text files & Variables (strings)

  •        281

As the name suggest this is an AutoHotkey (AHK) Library with a number of functions to "manipulate" text, both files such as *.txt, *.ahk, *.html, *.css etc AND Strings (or variables). For example you can delete specific lines, replace words or specific lines, number lines, remove or insert columns of text, etc. See the list of functions below for a complete overview. To understand how to work with files and variables please read the "Textfile and the ! Prefix" and "Files & Variables" sections below.

laser_line_extraction - A ROS package that extracts line segments from LaserScan messages.

  •    C++

In the above image, the white dots are points in a LaserScan message, and the red lines are what is extracted by Laser Line Extraction. This data was collected by driving a robot through Beamish-Munro Hall at Queen's University. A SICK LMS111 laser scanner was mounted to the robot. The extraction algorithm is very configurable; the above image used the parameters configured in the example.launch launch file. After applying some filters to remove outlying points, Laser Line Extraction implements a split-and-merge algorithm to determine which points belong to lines. Next, it implements the weighted line fitting algorithm by Pfister et al. [1] to find the best fit lines and their respective covariance matrices.

c-for-go - Automatic C-Go Bindings Generator for Go Programming Language

  •    Go

This project allows to reuse existing C/C++ libraries in your Go applications, by automatically creating c-go bindings for a given set of C headers and the manifest file. We believe in component-based software engineering and think that reusing C/C++ code in Go applications could bring a huge boost to developer's productivity and system's performance. Read more about the motivation: top reasons to use bindings. The only component required to produce a Go package that will wrap the source C/C++ code is the YAML manifest file that defines parsing, translation and generation rules. The manifest can have just a few lines, however in order to match Go's naming conventions and provide enough tips for type conversions it usually contains about 100 lines, which is still better than producing tens of thousands lines of Go code by hand.

cloc (Count Lines Of Code) counts, and computes differences of, comment lines, blank lines, and physical lines of source code in many programming languages.

Python Prompt Toolkit - Library for building powerful interactive command lines in Python

  •    Python

prompt_toolkit is a library for building powerful interactive command lines and terminal applications in Python. ptpython is an interactive Python Shell, build on top of prompt_toolkit. prompt_toolkit could be a replacement for GNU readline, but it can be much more than that.

balance-text - A plugin for implementing balancing of wrapping text in a web page

  •    Javascript

A utility to provide an alternate text wrapping algorithm. I hope to get this into the CSS spec, so it's implemented as an optional "polyfill". It already appears in the CSS Text Module Level 4 Editor's Draft. That algorithm guarantees that the text is rendered using the least number of lines, but when text is centered and wraps to more than 1 line, it can produce visually undesirable results such as a long line of centered text followed by a short line of centered text. What I want is for the text to be balanced across lines. By "balanced across lines", I mean that the text is rendered so that the amount of text on each line is about the same. This plugin implements a line-breaking algorithm to do that automatically.

Academic-Writing-Check - check for passive words, weasel words, duplicate words, typographical errors and words strunk & white don't like

  •    Perl

This script attempts to find common errors in academic writings. This is focused only on academic writing in latex, but most things should work on any ASCII text. We don't attempt to do any sort of latex parsing currently(maybe someday). where {option} is one of the things in bold in the above list. The script also ignores lines beginning with a % as a helper. It outputs filename and line number with the offending issues marked in color.

WikiSort - Fast and stable sort algorithm that uses O(1) memory. Public domain.

  •    C++

Update (04/28/14): Check out the GrailSort project on GitHub for a similar algorithm based on a paper by Huang and Langston. It's actually faster than WikiSort for the Random and RandomFew tests when you remove the 512-item cache! It goes to show that this is still an open area of research that could use your expertise. WikiSort is an implementation of "block merge sort", or "block sort" for short, which is a stable merge sort based on the work described in "Ratio based stable in-place merging", by Pok-Son Kim and Arne Kutzner [PDF].

FLIRTDB - A community driven collection of IDA FLIRT signature files

  •    Max

Fast Library Identification and Recognition Technology, also known as FLIRT, is IDA's internal symbols identifier that searches through disassembled binaries in order to locate, rename, and highlight known library subroutines. FLIRT elimates the need to analyze functions that could be understood simply by reading documentation or source code from the library it came from and reduces the amount of work required in order to reverse and understand symbol-stripped binaries by a considerable amount. The input to the system is a library file (.lib on Windows) from a library of choice while the output is a signature file (.sig) stored under /sig (and only there or else IDA won't find it). Using one of the tools (plb/pcf/pelf) (provided here for paying customers) you convert all the functions in the library to signatures stored in a PAT file (.pat). The final stage in creating a signature file involves converting the generated PAT file into a .sig file usable by IDA with the use of sigmake. The problem with this is that sometimes collisions will exist for signatures since the method Hex-Rays uses is not fool proof. When an error occurs an EXC (.exc) file is created. In order to ignore collisions, simply edit this file by removing the first few comments (lines that start with ';') and re-run sigmake.
