socketcluster - Highly scalable realtime framework

  •    Javascript

SocketCluster is a fast, highly scalable HTTP + realtime server engine which lets you build multi-process realtime servers that make use of all CPU cores on a machine/instance. It removes the limitations of having to run your Node.js server as a single thread and makes your backend resilient by automatically recovering from worker crashes and aggregating errors into a central log on each host. SC can also auto-scale across multiple hosts on top of Kubernetes; see SCC guide: https://github.com/SocketCluster/socketcluster/blob/master/scc-guide.md.There are two ways to install SocketCluster.

CloudBoost - One Complete Serverless Platform to build your app in half less time

  •    Javascript

CloudBoost can power your app's backend, including data storage, user authentication, real-time notifications, search and more. It provides single framework for Data-Storage / JSON Storage / BLOB Storage, 100% data ownership, Realtime Search, Cache, Queues, Horizontally scalable etc.

cloudboost - Realtime JavaScript Backend.

  •    Javascript

CloudBoost also has a managed service, so you don't have to install or configure anything. You can sign up for the managed service here. You can install CloudBoost anywhere you like. We have a Docker Compose file that can help you get started with CloudBoost in few minutes and with just one command. You can use this compose file to install the service locally on your local dev machine, or you can install the service to Azure, AWS, DigitalOcean, Softlayer, Packet and more.

Resgate - A Realtime API Gateway used with NATS to build REST, real time, and RPC APIs, where all your clients are synchronized seamlessly.

pushpin - Reverse proxy for realtime web services

  •    C++

Pushpin is a reverse proxy server written in C++ that makes it easy to implement WebSocket, HTTP streaming, and HTTP long-polling services. The project is unique among realtime push solutions in that it is designed to address the needs of API creators. Pushpin is transparent to clients and integrates easily into an API stack. To assist with integration, there are libraries for many backend languages and frameworks. Pushpin has no libraries on the client side because it is transparent to clients.

ApacheDS - Apache Directory Project

  •    Java

ApacheDS is an embeddable directory server entirely written in Java, which has been certified LDAPv3 compatible by the Open Group. Besides LDAP it supports Kerberos 5 and the Change Password Protocol. It has been designed to introduce triggers, stored procedures, queues and views to the world of LDAP which has lacked these rich constructs.

Usergrid - The BaaS Framework you run

  •    Java

Usergrid is an open-source Backend-as-a-Service (“BaaS” or “mBaaS”) composed of an integrated distributed NoSQL database, application layer and client tier with SDKs for developers looking to rapidly build web and/or mobile applications. It provides elementary services (user registration & management, data storage, file storage, queues) and retrieval features (full text search, geolocation search, joins) to power common app features.

buddycloud - Sharing, discovering, communicating. Magically simple.

react-ive-meteor - Demo app of React and Meteor using a social feed

  •    Javascript

Building a realtime backend and clientside optimistic UI for React can be difficult. Meteor makes it easy to build an app with optimistic UI updating and realtime data streaming (view updates as DB records change). This repo aims to be a sandbox that developers can learn how to create React apps with a Meteor backend. We'll have several branches with different ways to architect/use the app (such as a full flux spec).

chat - Instant messaging server - backend in Go, client-side binding in Java and Javascript

rendora - dynamic server-side rendering using headless Chrome to effortlessly solve the SEO problem for modern javascript websites

  •    Go

Rendora can be seen as a reverse HTTP proxy server sitting between your backend server (e.g. Node.js/Express.js, Python/Django, etc...) and potentially your frontend proxy server (e.g. nginx, traefik, apache, etc...) or even directly to the outside world that does actually nothing but transporting requests and responses as they are except when it detects whitelisted requests according to the config. In that case, Rendora instructs a headless Chrome instance to request and render the corresponding page and then return the server-side rendered page back to the client (i.e. the frontend proxy server or the outside world). This simple functionality makes Rendora a powerful dynamic renderer without actually changing anything in both frontend and backend code. Dynamic rendering means that the server provides server-side rendered HTML to web crawlers such as GoogleBot and BingBot and at the same time provides the typical initial HTML to normal users in order to be rendered at the client side. Dynamic rendering is meant to improve SEO for websites written in modern javascript frameworks like React, Vue, Angular, etc...

ghostunnel - A simple SSL/TLS proxy with mutual authentication for securing non-TLS services

  •    Go

Ghostunnel is a simple TLS proxy with mutual authentication support for securing non-TLS backend applications.Ghostunnel supports two modes, client mode and server mode. Ghostunnel in server mode runs in front of a backend server and accepts TLS-secured connections, which are then proxied to the (insecure) backend. A backend can be a TCP domain/port or a UNIX domain socket. Ghostunnel in client mode accepts (insecure) connections through a TCP or UNIX domain socket and proxies them to a TLS-secured service. In other words, ghostunnel is a replacement for stunnel.
