pslab-desktop-apps - PSLab GUI Experiments using Qt and Python

  •    Python

This repository is for Qt based applications for PSLab - GUI programs, widgets and templates for various experiments. This is also installable on linux machine. The goal of PSLab is to create an Open Source hardware device (open on all layers) that can be used for experiments by teachers, students and citizen scientists. Our tiny pocket lab provides an array of sensors for doing science and engineering experiments. It provides functions of numerous measurement devices including an oscilloscope, a waveform generator, a frequency counter, a programmable voltage, current source and as a data logger.

PMU Connection Tester

Verifies that the data stream from a synchrophasor measurement device is being received. Supports most all streaming synchrophasor data protocols.

flint - A Time Series Library for Apache Spark

  •    Scala

The ability to analyze time series data at scale is critical for the success of finance and IoT applications based on Spark. Flint is Two Sigma's implementation of highly optimized time series operations in Spark. It performs truly parallel and rich analyses on time series data by taking advantage of the natural ordering in time series data to provide locality-based optimizations. Flint is an open source library for Spark based around the TimeSeriesRDD, a time series aware data structure, and a collection of time series utility and analysis functions that use TimeSeriesRDDs. Unlike DataFrame and Dataset, Flint's TimeSeriesRDDs can leverage the existing ordering properties of datasets at rest and the fact that almost all data manipulations and analysis over these datasets respect their temporal ordering properties. It differs from other time series efforts in Spark in its ability to efficiently compute across panel data or on large scale high frequency data.

bitpredict - Machine learning for high frequency bitcoin price prediction

  •    Python

This project aims to make high frequency bitcoin price predictions from market microstructure data. The dataset is a series of one second snapshots of open buy and sell orders on the Bitfinex exchange, combined with a record of executed transactions. Data collection began 08/20/2015.A number of engineered features are used to train a Gradient Boosting model, and a theoretical trading strategy is simulated on historical and live data.

open-source-survey - The Open Source Survey

We've run the largest survey of the open source community to date, the results of are an open dataset for us all to use and learn from. We hope the dataset informs some of the most pressing questions about open source software, the people that create it, their experience, and their relationship to the industry that depends on it.Learn more about the survey design and the topics we're studying.

AMDVLK - AMD Open Source Driver For Vulkan

  •    Python

The AMD Open Source Driver for Vulkan® is an open-source Vulkan driver for Radeon™ graphics adapters on Linux®. It is built on top of AMD's Platform Abstraction Library (PAL), a shared component that is designed to encapsulate certain hardware and OS-specific programming details for many of AMD's 3D and compute drivers. Leveraging PAL can help provide a consistent experience across platforms, including support for recently released GPUs and compatibility with AMD developer tools. Shaders that compose a particular VkPipeline object are compiled as a single entity using the LLVM-Based Pipeline Compiler (LLPC) library. LLPC builds on LLVM's existing shader compilation infrastructure for AMD GPUs to generate code objects compatible with PAL's pipeline ABI. Notably, AMD's closed-source Vulkan driver currently uses a different pipeline compiler, which is the major difference between AMD's open-source and closed-source Vulkan drivers.

codetriage - Discover the best way to get started contributing to Open Source projects

  •    Ruby

When patients come into the emergency room, they don't see a doctor immediately, they go to a triage nurse. The nurse knows enough about medical problems to properly assign that person to the doctor that can help them the quickest. Since the doctors are the most limited resource, triage nurses help to assign them as effectively as possible. Triage in open source means looking at open issues and adding useful information for maintainers. While you might not maintain a repository, you can help those who do by diagnosing issues, reviewing pull requests. Triage is an important part of open source. It can be difficult to keep up with bugs and assess the validity of contributions. Code introduced to fix one problem can easily generate more problems than it solves, so it's important for maintainers to look closely at bug reports and code contributions. Unfortunately as the size of a project grows, the demands placed on the maintainers grow. This means they are forced to choose between spending enormous amounts of time reviewing each GitHub issue, only skimming over issues, or worse, ignoring issues.

OpenTomb - An open-source Tomb Raider 1-5 engine remake

  •    C++

OpenTomb is an open-source re-implementation of the classic Tomb Raider engine, intended to play levels from all classic-era Tomb Raider games (1—5), as well as custom TRLE levels. The project does not use any of the original Tomb Raider code, as all attempts to retrieve source files from Eidos/Core were in vain. Instead, everything is being re-developed completely from scratch. It should be noted, however, that OpenTomb uses certain legacy routines from unfinished open-source projects, such as OpenRaider and VT project (found at, plus some code from Quake Tenebrae.
