hc - HomeControl is an implementation of the HomeKit Accessory Protocol (HAP) in Go.

  •    Go

HomeControl is an implementation of the HomeKit Accessory Protocol (HAP) to create your own HomeKit accessory in Go. HomeKit is a set of protocols and libraries to access devices for Home Automation. The actual protocol documentation is only available to MFi members. A non-commercial version of the documentation is now available on the HomeKit developer website. HomeKit is fully integrated since iOS 8. Developers can use the HomeKit framework to communicate with HomeKit using high-level APIs. I've developed the Home app (for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch) to control HomeKit accessories. If you purchase Home on the App Store, you not only support my work but also get an awesome iOS app. Thank you.

odo - OpenShift Command line for Developers

  •    Go

OpenShift Do (Odo) is a CLI tool for developers who are writing, building, and deploying applications on OpenShift. With Odo, developers get an opinionated CLI tool that supports fast, iterative development which abstracts away Kubernetes and OpenShift concepts, thus allowing them to focus on what's most important to them: code. Odo was created to improve the developer experience with OpenShift. We understand that, as developers, you want tools that help you be productive. What do you don't want, is to have to change the way you work or have to become an expert in Kubernetes or OpenShift just to get your work done.

ml-agents - Unity Machine Learning Agents

  •    CSharp

Unity Machine Learning Agents (ML-Agents) is an open-source Unity plugin that enables games and simulations to serve as environments for training intelligent agents. Agents can be trained using reinforcement learning, imitation learning, neuroevolution, or other machine learning methods through a simple-to-use Python API. We also provide implementations (based on TensorFlow) of state-of-the-art algorithms to enable game developers and hobbyists to easily train intelligent agents for 2D, 3D and VR/AR games. These trained agents can be used for multiple purposes, including controlling NPC behavior (in a variety of settings such as multi-agent and adversarial), automated testing of game builds and evaluating different game design decisions pre-release. ML-Agents is mutually beneficial for both game developers and AI researchers as it provides a central platform where advances in AI can be evaluated on Unity’s rich environments and then made accessible to the wider research and game developer communities. For more information, in addition to installation and usage instructions, see our documentation home. If you have used a version of ML-Agents prior to v0.3, we strongly recommend our guide on migrating to v0.3.

PodsUpdater - A macOS app which helps you manage dependency releases in your Podfile.

  •    Swift

I believe it should be up to the developer to determine the exact versions of dependencies used in their projects. When adding Pods to the Podfile, most developers use the optimistic operator pod 'RxSwift', '~> 4.1.1' or even leave out the version information entirely pod 'RxSwift'. This is because no one wants to go through the hell of finding new versions of their dependencies and updating manually. This also means the Dependency manager(CocoaPods) will have to decide which version to install in your project. Granted, with the optimistic operator, CocoaPods would probably never install a version of the Pod with breaking changes as long as the framework's developer continues using semantic versioning. But then, you wouldn't even get to know about the breaking release at all.

mu - A full-stack DevOps on AWS framework

  •    Go

Amazon ECS (EC2 Container Service) provides an excellent platform for deploying microservices as containers. The challenge however is that there is a significant learning curve for microservice developers to deploy their applications in an efficient manner. Specifically, they must learn to use CloudFormation to orchestrate the management of ECS, ECR, EC2, ELB, VPC, and IAM resources. Additionally, tools like CodeBuild and CodePipeline must be mastered to create a continuous delivery pipeline for their microservices. To address these challenges, this tool was created to simplify the declaration and administration of the AWS resources necessary to support microservices. Similar to how the Serverless Framework improved the developer experience of Lambda and API Gateway, this tool makes it easier for developers to use ECS as a microservices platform.

skaffold - Easy and Repeatable Kubernetes Development

  •    Go

Skaffold is a command line tool that facilitates continuous development for Kubernetes applications. You can iterate on your application source code locally then deploy to local or remote Kubernetes clusters. Skaffold handles the workflow for building, pushing and deploying your application. It can also be used in an automated context such as a CI/CD pipeline to leverage the same workflow and tooling when moving applications to production. No server-side component. No overhead to your cluster.

Jump-Location - Powershell `cd` that reads your mind

  •    CSharp

If you spend any time in a console you know that cd is by far the most common command that you issue. I'll open up a console to it's default location in C:\Users\tkellogg or C:\Windows\system32 and then issue a cd C:\work\MyProject. Set-JumpLocation is a cmdlet lets you issue a j my to jump directly to C:\work\MyProject.It learns your behavior by keeping track of how long you spend in certain directories and favoring them over the ones you don't care about. You don't have to use Jump-Location as a replacement for cd. Use cd to go local, and use Set-JumpLocation to jump further away.

gotraining - Go Training Class Material :

  •    Go

We have taught Go to thousands of developers all around the world since 2014. There is no other company that has been doing it longer and our material has proven to help jump-start developers 6 to 12 months ahead of their knowledge of Go. We know what knowledge developers need in order to be productive and efficient when writing software in Go. Our classes are perfect for intermediate-level developers who have at least a few months to years of experience writing code in Go. Our classes provide a very deep knowledge of the programming langauge with a big push on language mechanics, design philosophies and guidelines. We focus on teaching how to write code with a priority on consistency, integrity, readability and simplicity. We cover a lot about “if performance matters” with a focus on mechanical sympathy, data oriented design, decoupling and writing/debugging production software.
