docker-lambda - Docker images and test runners that replicate the live AWS Lambda environment

  •    Javascript

A sandboxed local environment that replicates the live AWS Lambda environment almost identically – including installed software and libraries, file structure and permissions, environment variables, context objects and behaviors – even the user and running process are the same. You can use it for testing your functions in the same strict Lambda environment, knowing that they'll exhibit the same behavior when deployed live. You can also use it to compile native dependencies knowing that you're linking to the same library versions that exist on AWS Lambda and then deploy using the AWS CLI.

amazon-ecs-cli - A custom Amazon ECS CLI that eases up the cluster setup process, enables users to run their applications locally or on ECS using the same Docker Compose file format and familiar Compose commands

  •    Go

The Amazon ECS Command Line Interface (CLI) is a command line interface for Amazon EC2 Container Service (Amazon ECS) that provides high-level commands to simplify creating, updating, and monitoring clusters and tasks from a local development environment. The Amazon ECS CLI supports Docker Compose, a popular open-source tool for defining and running multi-container applications. Use the CLI as part of your everyday development and testing cycle as an alternative to the AWS Management Console. For more information about Amazon ECS, see the Amazon ECS Developer Guide. For information about installing and using the Amazon ECS CLI, see the ECS Command Line Interface.

aws-sam-local - AWS SAM Local 🐿 is a CLI tool for local development and testing of Serverless applications

  •    Go

sam is the AWS CLI tool for managing Serverless applications written with AWS Serverless Application Model (SAM). SAM Local can be used to test functions locally, start a local API Gateway from a SAM template, validate a SAM template, and generate sample payloads for various event sources.Running Serverless projects and functions locally with SAM Local requires Docker to be installed and running. SAM Local will use the DOCKER_HOST environment variable to contact the docker daemon.

devspace - Cloud Native Software Development with Kubernetes and Docker - simply run "devspace up" in any of your projects and start coding directly on top of Kubernetes (works with minikube, self-hosted and cloud-based clusters)

  •    Go

With a DevSpace, you can build, test and run code directly inside any Kubernetes cluster. You can run devspace up in any of your projects and the client-only DevSpace CLI will start a DevSpace within your Kubernetes cluster. Keep coding as usual and the DevSpace CLI will sync any code change directly into the containers of your DevSpace. No more waiting for re-building images, re-deploying containers and restarting applications on every source code change. Simply edit your code with any IDE and run your code instantly inside your DevSpace.

docker-compose-rails-dev-example - A Docker compose project example I use to develop rails apps with Docker

  •    Ruby

This is an example of how I use Docker and Docker Compose to develop my rails apps. It is an ideal project setup for new and experienced developers alike, and allows to a nearly trouble-free environment setup in their development machines.

cli - The Docker CLI

  •    Go

This repository is the home of the cli used in the Docker CE and Docker EE products. docker/cli is developed using Docker.

anchore - Legacy Anchore container analysis, inspection and control toolset

  •    Python

Anchore is a set of tools that provides visibility, transparency, and control of your container environment. With anchore, users can analyze, inspect, perform security scans, and apply custom policies to container images within a CI/CD build system, or used/integrated directly into your container environment. This repository contains the anchore analysis scanner tool (with a basic CLI interface), which can be appropriate for lower-level integrations - for new users and current users who have been looking to deploy Anchore as a centralized service with an API, an open source project called the Anchore Engine has been released (with its own light-weight client CLI) which extends the capabilities of anchore beyond what usage of this scanner tool alone can provide. The project page links are below, which include installation/quickstart instructions, API documents and usage guides.

expertiza - Expertiza is a web application through which students can submit and peer-review learning objects (articles, code, web sites, etc)

  •    Ruby

Expertiza is a web application where students can submit and peer-review learning objects (articles, code, web sites, etc). It is used in select courses at NC State and by professors at several other colleges and universities. The expertiza environment is already set up in NC State's VCL image "Ruby on Rails". If you have access, this is quickest way to get a development environment running for Expertiza. See the Google doc on setting up the Expertiza development environment.

codeclimate - Code Climate CLI

  •    Ruby

codeclimate is a command line interface for the Code Climate analysis platform. It allows you to run Code Climate engines on your local machine inside of Docker containers. The Code Climate CLI is distributed and run as a Docker image. The engines that perform the actual analyses are also Docker images. To support this, you must have Docker installed and running locally. We also require that the Docker daemon supports connections on the default Unix socket /var/run/docker.sock.

Dry - A Docker container manager for the terminal

  •    Go

Dry is a terminal application to manage Docker. It shows information about Containers, Images and Networks, and, if running a Docker Swarm, it also shows all kinds of information about the state of the Swarm cluster. It can connect to both local or remote Docker daemons. Besides showing information, it can be used to manage Docker. Most of the commands that the official Docker CLI has, are available in dry with the same behaviour.

openstorage - A multi-host clustered implementation of the open storage specification

  •    Go

OpenStorage is a clustered implementation of the Open Storage specification and relies on the Docker runtime. It allows you to run stateful services in Linux Containers in a multi-host environment. It plugs into CSI and Docker volumes to provide storage to a container and plugs into Kubernetes and Mesosphere to operate in a clustered environment. When you install openstorage on a Linux host, you will automatically get a stateful storage layer that integrates with CSI or the Docker runtime and operates in a multi host environment. It starts an Open Storage Daemon - OSD that currently supports CSI and DVDI and will support any Linux container runtime that conforms to the OCI.
