beautify-with-words - Beautifies javascript and replaces variable names with unique "long-ish words"

  •    Javascript

beautify-with-words beautifies javascript and replaces variable names with unique "long-ish words". It uses UglifyJS2's beautifier, but uses a phonetic word generator to rename variables. This makes it easier less-hard to read unminified code and do things like search-and-replace. beautify-with-words takes one file at a time – or, if no input file is specified, then input is read from STDIN.

ECMAScript code beautifier/formatter.This tool is still missing support for many important features. Please report any bugs you find, the code is only as good as the test cases. Feature requests are very welcome.

syntastic - Syntax checking hacks for vim

  •    Vim

Syntastic is a syntax checking plugin for Vim created by Martin Grenfell. It runs files through external syntax checkers and displays any resulting errors to the user. This can be done on demand, or automatically as files are saved. If syntax errors are detected, the user is notified and is happy because they didn't have to compile their code or execute their script to find them. At the time of this writing, syntastic has checking plugins for ACPI Source Language, ActionScript, Ada, Ansible configurations, API Blueprint, AppleScript, AsciiDoc, Assembly languages, BEMHTML, Bro, Bourne shell, C, C++, C#, Cabal, Chef, CMake, CoffeeScript, Coco, Coq, CSS, Cucumber, CUDA, D, Dart, DocBook, Dockerfile, Dust, Elixir, Erlang, eRuby, Fortran, Gentoo metadata, GLSL, Go, Haml, Haskell, Haxe, Handlebars, HSS, HTML, Java, JavaScript, JSON, JSX, Julia, LESS, Lex, Limbo, LISP, LLVM intermediate language, Lua, Markdown, MATLAB, Mercury, NASM, Nix, Objective-C, Objective-C++, OCaml, Perl, Perl 6, Perl POD, PHP, gettext Portable Object, OS X and iOS property lists, Pug (formerly Jade), Puppet, Python, QML, R, Racket, RDF TriG, RDF Turtle, Relax NG, reStructuredText, RPM spec, Ruby, SASS/SCSS, Scala, Slim, SML, Solidity, Sphinx, SQL, Stylus, Tcl, TeX, Texinfo, Twig, TypeScript, Vala, Verilog, VHDL, Vim help, VimL, Vue.js, xHtml, XML, XSLT, XQuery, YACC, YAML, YANG data models, YARA rules, z80, Zope page templates, and Zsh. This is a Sublime Text 2 and 3 plugin allowing you to format your HTML, CSS, JavaScript and JSON code. It uses a set of nice beautifier scripts made by Einar Lielmanis. Format code with one button press. This plugin makes use of external formatting programs to achieve the best results. Check the list of formatprograms below to see which languages are supported by default. You can easily customize these or add your own formatprogram. prettier-vscode - Visual Studio Code extension for Prettier

  •    TypeScript

VS Code package to format your JavaScript / TypeScript / CSS using Prettier. ⚠ A word of warning-if you have any other code formatting extensions installed such as for example hugely popular HookyQR.beautify or taichi.react-beautify they might take precedence and format your code instead of Prettier leading to unexpected results.

prettier-eslint - Code :arrow_right: prettier :arrow_right: eslint --fix :arrow_right: Formatted Code :sparkles:

  •    Javascript

The fix feature of eslint is pretty great and can auto-format/fix much of your code according to your ESLint config. prettier is a more powerful automatic formatter. One of the nice things about prettier is how opinionated it is. Unfortunately it's not opinionated enough and/or some opinions differ from my own. So after prettier formats the code, I start getting linting errors. This formats your code via prettier, and then passes the result of that to eslint --fix. This way you can get the benefits of prettier's superior formatting capabilities, but also benefit from the configuration capabilities of eslint.
