license-checker - Check NPM package licenses

  •    Javascript

A list of licenses is the simplest way to describe what you want to exclude. You can use valid SPDX identifiers. You can use valid SPDX expressions like MIT OR X11. You can use non-valid SPDX identifiers, like Public Domain, since npm does support some license strings that are not SPDX identifiers.

npm-check-updates - Find newer versions of package dependencies than what your package

  •    Javascript

npm-check-updates upgrades your package.json dependencies to the latest versions, ignoring specified versions. npm-check-updates maintains your existing semantic versioning policies, i.e., it will upgrade your "express": "^4.0.0" dependency to "express": "^5.0.0".

update-notifier - Update notifications for your CLI app

  •    Javascript

Inform users of your package of updates in a non-intrusive way.Whenever you initiate the update notifier and it's not within the interval threshold, it will asynchronously check with npm in the background for available updates, then persist the result. The next time the notifier is initiated, the result will be loaded into the .update property. This prevents any impact on your package startup performance. The update check is done in a unref'ed child process. This means that if you call process.exit, the check will still be performed in its own process.

meteor-autoform - AutoForm is a Meteor package that adds UI components and helpers to easily create basic forms with automatic insert and update events, and automatic reactive validation

  •    Javascript

AutoForm is a Meteor package that adds UI components and helpers to easily create basic forms with automatic insert and update events, and automatic reactive validation. Versions 6+ of this package require that you separately install the simpl-schema NPM package. Prior versions require and automatically install the simple-schema Meteor package. You can optionally use it with the collection2 package, which you have to add to your app yourself. AutoForm 6.0 is now available and requires switching your app to using the SimpleSchema package from NPM. Be sure to check out the change log for full details. Note that if you use add-on packages that haven't been updated yet, you will not yet be able to update to version 6.

DVDCopy

  •    Python

dvd copy does what the name implies, it copies the main feature of a dvd to the hard drive then shrinks it down to fit on a 4.7GB dvd then burns it to a dvd. This is good for making backup copies of dvds you legally own.

0bin - Client Side Encrypted PasteBin

  •    Python

0bin is a client side encrypted pastebin that can run without a database. 0bin allows anybody to host a pastebin while welcoming any type of content to be pasted in it. The idea is that one can (probably...) not be legally entitled to moderate the pastebin content as he/she has no way to decrypt it.

magspoof - A portable device that can spoof/emulate any magnetic stripe, credit card or hotel card "wirelessly", even on standard magstripe (non-NFC/RFID) readers

  •    Eagle

MagSpoof is a device that can spoof/emulate any magnetic stripe or credit card. It can work "wirelessly", even on standard magstripe/credit card readers, by generating a strong electromagnetic field that emulates a traditional magnetic stripe card. Note: MagSpoof does not enable you to use credit cards that you are not legally authorized to use. The Chip-and-PIN and Amex information is not implemented and using MagSpoof requires you to have/own the magstripes that you wish to emulate. Simply having a credit card number and expiration is not enough to perform transactions. MagSpoof does allow you to perform research in other areas of magstripes, microcontrollers, and electromagnetism, as well as learn about and create your own devices similar to other existing, commercial technologies such as Samsung MST and Coin.

common-workflow-language - Repository for the CWL standards

  •    Python

The Common Workflow Language (CWL) is a specification for describing analysis workflows and tools in a way that makes them portable and scalable across a variety of software and hardware environments, from workstations to cluster, cloud, and high performance computing (HPC) environments. CWL is designed to meet the needs of data-intensive science, such as Bioinformatics, Medical Imaging, Astronomy, Physics, and Chemistry. CWL is developed by a multi-vendor working group consisting of organizations and individuals aiming to enable scientists to share data analysis workflows. The CWL project is maintained on Github and we follow the Open-Stand.org principles for collaborative open standards development. Legally, CWL is a member project of Software Freedom Conservancy and is formally managed by the elected CWL leadership team, however every-day project decisions are made by the CWL community which is open for participation by anyone.

shrinkpack - Fast, resilient, reproducible builds with npm install.

  •    Javascript

Shrinkpack complements the npm shrinkwrap command by maintaining a node_shrinkwrap directory in your project, containing the exact same tarballs that npm install downloads from https://registry.npmjs.org. The rest of the npm install process is exactly the same. The only difference is that no network activity is necessary when installing and building your project. The node_shrinkwrap directory can be ignored in your editor (much like is done with the node_modules directory) but is instead checked into source control.

packagephobia - ⚖️ Find the cost of adding a new dev dependency to your project
