fflib-apex-common - Common Apex Library supporting Apex Enterprise Patterns and much more!

  •    Apex

Is derived from the Dreamforce 2012 presentation on Apex Enterprise Patterns and progresses the patterns further with a more general ongoing home for them. It also adds some form of namespace qualification from the previous version. So that classes are grouped together more easily in the IDE's and packages. Below you can find comprehensive articles and videos on the use of these patterns. There is also a working sample application illustrating the patterns here. Design patterns are an invaluable tool for developers and architects looking to build enterprise solutions. Here are presented some tried and tested enterprise application engineering patterns that have been used in other platforms and languages. We will discuss and illustrate how patterns such as Data Mapper, Service Layer, Unit of Work and of course Model View Controller can be applied to Force.com. Applying these patterns can help manage governed resources (such as DML) better, encourage better separation-of-concerns in your logic and enforce Force.com coding best practices.

mockery - Simplifying the use of mocks with Node.js

  •    Javascript

If you've tried working with mocks in Node.js, you've no doubt discovered that it's not so easy to get your mocks hooked up in the face of Node's module loading system. When your source-under-test pulls in its dependencies through require, you want your mocks provided, instead of the original module, to enable true unit testing of your code. This is exactly the problem Mockery is designed to solve. Mockery gives you a simple and easy to use API with which you can hook in your mocks without having to get your hands dirty with the require cache or other Node implementation details.

api-mock - Creates a mock server based on an API Blueprint

  •    HTML

This project is no longer under active development and we're looking for a new maintainer (or owner). Please open an issue if you are interested in helping out. API-Mock is a node.js npm module that generates a mock server (express) from your API specification. Document your API in the API blueprint format, and API-Mock mocks your routes and sends the responses defined in the api spec.

mockery - Mockery is a simple yet flexible PHP mock object framework for use in unit testing with PHPUnit, PHPSpec or any other testing framework

  •    PHP

Mockery is a simple yet flexible PHP mock object framework for use in unit testing with PHPUnit, PHPSpec or any other testing framework. Its core goal is to offer a test double framework with a succinct API capable of clearly defining all possible object operations and interactions using a human readable Domain Specific Language (DSL). Designed as a drop in alternative to PHPUnit's phpunit-mock-objects library, Mockery is easy to integrate with PHPUnit and can operate alongside phpunit-mock-objects without the World ending. Mockery is released under a New BSD License.

FakePoint

  •

FakePoint is a set of fake (mock or stub) SharePoint object model API classes to enable unit testing and TDD. The FakePoint DLL is referenced in the test project in place of the SharePoint assembly, allowing the fake API classes to be used transparently without special coding.

node-mocks-http - Mock 'http' objects for testing Express routing functions

  •    Javascript

Mock 'http' objects for testing Express routing functions, but could be used for testing any Node.js web server applications that have code that requires mockups of the request and response objects. This project is available as a NPM package.

sinon - Test spies, stubs and mocks for JavaScript.

  •    Javascript

Standalone and test framework agnostic JavaScript test spies, stubs and mocks (pronounced "sigh-non", named after Sinon, the warrior).or via sinon's browser builds available for download on the homepage. There are also npm based CDNs one can use.

sfdc-trigger-framework - A minimal trigger framework for your Salesforce Apex Triggers

  •    Apex

Triggers should (IMO) be logicless. Putting logic into your triggers creates un-testable, difficult-to-maintain code. It's widely accepted that a best-practice is to move trigger logic into a handler class. This trigger framework bundles a single TriggerHandler base class that you can inherit from in all of your trigger handlers. The base class includes context-specific methods that are automatically called when a trigger is executed.

apex-mdapi - Apex Wrapper for the Salesforce Metadata API

  •    Apex

In addition to the documentation in this README, the following blogs also cover the library. This API mirrors as much as possible the API types and operations described in the standard documentation. The behaviour and functionality provided is also as described in the Salesforce documentation, in terms of what metadata is available and accessable via the specific operations.

mountebank - Over the wire test doubles

  •    HTML

In fact, halfway through we discovered our corporate mocking software couldn’t handle the sheer amount of performance testing we were running as part of this effort (we completely crushed some pretty industrial enterprise software in the process). As a result, we made the call to move the entire program over to a Mountebank OSS-based solution with a custom provision to give us the ability to expand/shrink our mocking needs on demand. mountebank is the first open source tool to provide cross-platform, multi-protocol test doubles over the wire. Just point your application to mountebank instead of the real dependency, and test like you would with traditional stubs and mocks.

Smocker - Simple and efficient HTTP mock server

  •    Go

Smocker (server mock) is a simple and efficient HTTP mock server. Smocker exposes two ports: Port 8080 is the mock server port. It will expose the routes you register through the configuration port and Port 8081 is the configuration port. It's the port you will use to register new mocks. This port also exposes a user interface.

Legend Fakes - Fake it easy!

  •

A dynamic fake framework. * Easier semantics, all fake objects are just that - fakes - the use of the fakes determines whether they're mocks or stubs. * Context aware fluent interface guides the developer. * Full VB.Net support.

Apex Data Loader

  •

The Apex Data Loader is a java based application that can bulk process the insert, update and delete on all object data into and build queries to extract data out of salesforce.com using the Apex Web Services (SOAP) API.

BeanProxy

  •    DotNet

BeanProxy is both a mock library as well as a stub factory. It can be configured for behavior or state verification. It has a truly rich API for strong typing of both method names and parameters. Enjoy its elegant use of delegates and property overloading for simple unit testing.

Apex For Visual Studio

  •

Apex Language Parser for Visual Studio makes it possible to edit Apex classes inside of Visual Studio. Apex is a programming language used specifically with SalesForce.com. This was built using the Visual Studio 2008 SDK sample "ManagedMyC" and the Managed Babel library.

apex-go - Golang runtime for Apex/Lambda.

  •    Go

Golang runtime support for Apex/Lambda – providing handlers for Lambda sources, and runtime requirements such as implementing the Node.js shim stdio interface. NOTE: apex v1.x supports native Go, so you should use https://github.com/aws/aws-lambda-go instead of this package.

mocha - Mocha is a mocking and stubbing library for Ruby

mock-require - Simple, intuitive mocking of Node.js modules.

  •    Javascript

mock-require is useful if you want to mock require statements in Node.js. I wrote it because I wanted something with a straight-forward API that would let me mock anything, from a single exported function to a standard library. The module you that you want to mock. This is the same string you would pass in if you wanted to require the module.

apex-core - Mirror of Apache Apex core

  •    Java

Apache Apex is a unified platform for big data stream and batch processing. Use cases include ingestion, ETL, real-time analytics, alerts and real-time actions. Apex is a Hadoop-native YARN implementation and uses HDFS by default. It simplifies development and productization of Hadoop applications by reducing time to market.
