dockerfiles - Compilation of Dockerfiles with automated builds enabled on the Docker Registry

  •    Dockerfile

Compilation of Dockerfiles with automated builds enabled on the Docker Hub. Not suitable for production environments. These images are under continuous development, so breaking changes may be introduced. Nearly all images are based on Ubuntu Core 14.04 LTS, built with minimising size/layers and best practices in mind. Dependencies are indicated left to right e.g. cuda-vnc is VNC built on top of CUDA. Explicit dependencies are excluded.

x11docker - Run GUI applications and desktops in docker. Focus on security.

  •    Shell

Graphical applications and desktops in docker are similar in usage to a Virtual Machine. They are isolated from host in several ways. It is possible to run applications that would not run on host due to missing dependencies. For example, you can run latest development versions or outdated versions of applications, or even multiple versions at the same time. Practical differences to a VM: Docker containers need much less resources. x11docker discardes containers after use. Persistant data and configuration storage is done with shared folders. Persistant container system changes can be done in Dockerfile. System changes in running containers are discarded after use.

docker-nginx-php - An Ubuntu, Nginx and PHP stack Built in Docker

  •    Shell

This is the basis for LEMP stack (minus MySQL). This is based on phusion/baseimage-docker base Ubuntu image, which takes care of system issues which Docker's base Ubuntu image does not take care of, such as watching processes, logrotate, ssh server, cron and syslog-ng. You can build this yourself after cloning the project (assuming you have Docker installed).

LibVNC - Easily implement VNC server or client functionality in your program

  •    C

LibVNCServer/LibVNCClient are cross-platform C libraries that allow you to easily implement VNC server or client functionality in your program.

TightVNC - Remote Control / Remote Desktop Software

  •    C++

TightVNC is a free remote control software package. With TightVNC, you can see the desktop of a remote machine and control it with your local mouse and keyboard.

Apache Guacamole - Remote Desktop Gateway

  •    C

Apache Guacamole is a clientless remote desktop gateway. It supports standard protocols like VNC, RDP, and SSH. Guacamole client is an HTML5 web application, use of your computers is not tied to any one device or location. As long as you have access to a web browser, you have access to your machines.

ffmpeg - Docker build for FFmpeg on Ubuntu / Alpine / Centos 7 / Scratch

  •    Python

This project prepares a minimalist Docker image with FFmpeg. It compiles FFmpeg from sources following instructions from the Compilation Guide. You can install the latest build of this image by running docker pull jrottenberg/ffmpeg.

AAG TechPlat Desktop

  •    Java

ARD is a remote administration tool for Unix/Linux amp; 95/98/ME/NT/2000 systems. Based on VNC technology , you can use ARD of the VNC to interact with a remote computer as though it's right next to you. ARD is great free remote-desktop tool.

mRemoteNG - Remote Connections Manager

  •    Visual

mRemoteNG is the next generation of mRemote, a full-featured, multi-tab remote connections manager. It allows you to store all your remote connections in a simple yet powerful interface. Currently these protocols are supported:RDP, (Remote Desktop), VNC (Virtual Network Computing), ICA (Independent Computing Architecture), SSH (Secure Shell), Telnet (TELecommunication NETwork), HTTP/S (Hypertext Transfer Protocol), Rlogin (Rlogin), Raw Socket Connections.

docker-gc - Docker garbage collection of containers and images

  •    Shell

A simple Docker container and image garbage collection script.Although docker normally prevents removal of images that are in use by containers, we take extra care to not remove any image tags (e.g., ubuntu:14.04, busybox, etc) that are in use by containers. A naive docker rmi $(docker images -q) will leave images stripped of all tags, forcing docker to re-pull the repositories when starting new containers even though the images themselves are still on disk.

openvas-docker - A Docker container for Openvas

  •    Shell

A Docker container for OpenVAS on Ubuntu. By default, the latest images includes the OpenVAS Base as well as the NVTs and Certs required to run OpenVAS. We made the decision to move to 9 as the default branch since 8 seems to have many issues in docker. We suggest you use 9 as it is much more stable. Our Openvas9 build was designed to be a smaller image with fewer extras built in. Please note, OpenVAS 8 is no longer being built as OpenVAS 9 is now standard. The image is can still be pulled from the Docker hub, however the source has been removed in this github as is standard with deprecated Docker Images. In the output, look for the process scanning cert data. It contains a percentage.

ignite - Ignite a Firecracker microVM

  •    Go

Weave Ignite is an open source Virtual Machine (VM) manager with a container UX and built-in GitOps management. Ignite makes Firecracker easy to use by adopting its developer experience from containers. With Ignite, you pick an OCI-compliant image (Docker image) that you want to run as a VM, and then just execute ignite run instead of docker run. There’s no need to use VM-specific tools to build .vdi, .vmdk, or .qcow2 images, just do a docker build from any base image you want (e.g. ubuntu:18.04 from Docker Hub), and add your preferred contents.

voctomix - Full-HD Software Live-Video-Mixer in python

  •    Python

The C3VOC creates lecture recordings from German hacker/tech conferences. In the past we have used dvswitch very successfully but it has some serious limitations. Therefore we started looking for a replacement in 2014. We tested snowmix and gst-switch and while both did some things we wanted right, we realised that no existing tool would be able to fulfil all our wishes. Furthermore both are a nightmare to extend. So we decided to build our own implementation of a Live-Video-Mixer. Voctomix requires a fairly recent Version of GStreamer (at least 1.5, though we recommend 1.6 and later). This is natively present on Debian Stretch or Sid and Ubuntu Wily. On these systems it should run out of the box. We recommend using one of them. A Docker image that uses Ubuntu Wily as a base is bundled with Voctomix. Please refer to the seperate readme how to use the Docker image.

vm - Package and Run Virtual Machines as Docker Containers

  •    Python

RancherVM allows you to create a special kind of containers called VM Containers. A VM container looks and feels like a regular container. It can be created from Dockerfile, distributed using DockerHub, managed using docker command line, and networked together using links and port bindings. Inside each VM container, however, is a virtual machine instance. You can package any QEMU/KVM image as RancherVM containers.RancherVM additionally comes with a management container that provides a web UI for managing virtual machines and accessing the VNC console.

docker-scripts - Dockerfiles and scripts for Spark and Shark Docker images

  •    Shell

Dockerfiles to build Spark and Shark images for testing and development. Tested on Ubuntu 12.04 (Docker version 0.6.4), Ubuntu 13.10 (Docker 0.7.0 and 0.9.0) with the virtual switch lxcbr0 enabled. For running Docker on Mac and Windows see the docs. Also tested inside the VirtualBox Tiny Core Linux VirtualBox VM for Docker on Mac.

Terminals - multi tab terminal services/remote desktop client

  •    CSharp

vnc.js - A JavaScript VNC Client

  •    Javascript

You need a VNC server to make this work, like: x11vnc on Ubuntu. This project was developed over 24 sleep deprived hours, the code is messy and undocumented.
