MITIE - MITIE: library and tools for information extraction

  •    C++

This project provides free (even for commercial use) state-of-the-art information extraction tools. The current release includes tools for performing named entity extraction and binary relation detection as well as tools for training custom extractors and relation detectors. MITIE is built on top of dlib, a high-performance machine-learning library[1], MITIE makes use of several state-of-the-art techniques including the use of distributional word embeddings[2] and Structural Support Vector Machines[3]. MITIE offers several pre-trained models providing varying levels of support for both English, Spanish, and German trained using a variety of linguistic resources (e.g., CoNLL 2003, ACE, Wikipedia, Freebase, and Gigaword). The core MITIE software is written in C++, but bindings for several other software languages including Python, R, Java, C, and MATLAB allow a user to quickly integrate MITIE into his/her own applications.

stent - Stent is combining the ideas of redux with the concept of state machines

  •    Javascript

Stent is combining the ideas of Redux with the concept of state machines. State machine is a mathematical model of computation. It's an abstract concept where the machine may have different states but at a given time fulfills only one of them. It accepts input and based on that (plus its current state) transitions to another state. Isn't it familiar? Yes, it sounds like a front-end application. That's why this model/concept applies nicely to UI development.

mlpack - A scalable C++ machine learning library

  •    C++

mlpack is an intuitive, fast, and flexible C++ machine learning library with bindings to other languages. giada - Your Hardcore Loop Machine.

  •    C++

Giada is a free, minimal, hardcore audio tool for DJs, live performers and electronic musicians. How does it work? Just pick up your channel, fill it with samples or MIDI events and start the show by using this tiny piece of software as a loop machine, drum machine, sequencer, live sampler or yet as a plugin/effect host. Giada aims to be a compact and portable virtual device for Linux, Mac OS X and Windows for production use and live sets. Giada is available under the terms of the GNU General Public License. g2o - g2o: A General Framework for Graph Optimization

  •    C++

g2o is an open-source C++ framework for optimizing graph-based nonlinear error functions. g2o has been designed to be easily extensible to a wide range of problems and a new problem typically can be specified in a few lines of code. The current implementation provides solutions to several variants of SLAM and BA. A wide range of problems in robotics as well as in computer-vision involve the minimization of a non-linear error function that can be represented as a graph. Typical instances are simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) or bundle adjustment (BA). The overall goal in these problems is to find the configuration of parameters or state variables that maximally explain a set of measurements affected by Gaussian noise. g2o is an open-source C++ framework for such nonlinear least squares problems. g2o has been designed to be easily extensible to a wide range of problems and a new problem typically can be specified in a few lines of code. The current implementation provides solutions to several variants of SLAM and BA. g2o offers a performance comparable to implementations of state-of-the-art approaches for the specific problems (02/2011).

EASTL - EASTL stands for Electronic Arts Standard Template Library

  •    C++

EASTL stands for Electronic Arts Standard Template Library. It is a C++ template library of containers, algorithms, and iterators useful for runtime and tool development across multiple platforms. It is a fairly extensive and robust implementation of such a library and has an emphasis on high performance above all other considerations. If you are familiar with the C++ STL or have worked with other templated container/algorithm libraries, you probably don't need to read this. If you have no familiarity with C++ templates at all, then you probably will need more than this document to get you up to speed. In this case, you need to understand that templates, when used properly, are powerful vehicles for the ease of creation of optimized C++ code. A description of C++ templates is outside the scope of this documentation, but there is plenty of such documentation on the Internet.

dll - Deep Learning Library (DLL) for C++ (ANNs, CNNs, RBMs, DBNs...)

  •    C++

DLL is a library that aims to provide a C++ implementation of Restricted Boltzmann Machine (RBM) and Deep Belief Network (DBN) and their convolution versions as well. It also has support for some more standard neural networks. Note: When you clone the library, you need to clone the sub modules as well, using the --recursive option.

FunctionalPlus - Functional Programming Library for C++. Write concise and readable C++ code.

  •    C++

helps you write concise and readable C++ code. Great code should mostly be self-documenting, but while using C++ in reality you can find yourself dealing with low-level stuff like iterators or hand-written loops that distract from the actual essence of your code.

paracel - Distributed training framework with parameter server

  •    C++

Paracel is a distributed computational framework, designed for many machine learning problems: Logistic Regression, SVD, Matrix Factorization(BFGS, sgd, als, cg), LDA, Lasso... Firstly, paracel splits both massive dataset and massive parameter space. Unlike Mapreduce-Like Systems, paracel offers a simple communication model, allowing you to work with a global and distributed key-value storage, which is called parameter server.

bwapi - Brood War API

  •    C++

The Brood War Application Programming Interface (BWAPI) is a free and open source C++ framework that is used to interact with the popular Real Time Strategy (RTS) game Starcraft: Broodwar. Using BWAPI, students, researchers, and hobbyists can create Artificial Intelligence (AI) agents that play the game. BWAPI only reveals the visible parts of the game state to AI modules by default. Information on units that have gone back into the fog of war is denied to the AI. This enables programmers to write competitive non-cheating AIs that must plan and operate under partial information conditions. BWAPI also denies user input by default, ensuring the user cannot take control of game units while the AI is playing. These defaults can be changed for flexibility, unless enforced by a Tournament Module (game referee for AI tournaments). Changed defaults will be advertised when the match begins.
