maptk - Motion-imagery Aerial Photogrammetry Toolkit

  •    C++

MAP-Tk started as an open source C++ collection of libraries and tools for making measurements from aerial video. Initial capability focused on estimating the camera flight trajectory and a sparse 3D point cloud of a scene. These products are jointly optimized via sparse bundle adjustment and are geo-localized if given additional control points or GPS metadata. This project has similar goals as projects like Bundler and VisualSFM. However, the focus here in on efficiently processing aerial video rather than community photo collections. Special attention has been given to the case where the variation in depth of the 3D scene is small compared to distance to the camera. In these cases, planar homographies can be used to assist feature tracking, stabilize the video, and aid in solving loop closure problems.

vtk-js - Visualization Toolkit for the Web

  •    Javascript

VTK is an open-source software system for image processing, 3D graphics, volume rendering and visualization. VTK includes many advanced algorithms (e.g., surface reconstruction, implicit modelling, decimation) and rendering techniques (e.g., hardware-accelerated volume rendering, LOD control). The JavaScript implementation remain a subset of the actual C++ library but efforts will be made to easily port or compile native VTK code into WebAssembly to better blend both world. The origin of VTK is with the textbook "The Visualization Toolkit, an Object-Oriented Approach to 3D Graphics" originally published by Prentice Hall and now published by Kitware, Inc. (Third Edition ISBN 1-930934-07-6). VTK has grown (since its initial release in 1994) to a world-wide user base in the commercial, academic, and research communities.

p5 - JS client-side library for creating graphic and interactive experiences, based on the core principles of Processing

  •    Javascript

p5.js is a JavaScript library that starts with the original goal of Processing, to make coding accessible for artists, designers, educators, and beginners, and reinterprets this for today's web.Using the original metaphor of a software sketchbook, p5.js has a full set of drawing functionality. However, you're not limited to your drawing canvas, you can think of your whole browser page as your sketch! For this, p5.js has addon libraries that make it easy to interact with other HTML5 objects, including text, input, video, webcam, and sound.

ProCamToolkit - Research and development of a new toolkit for projector-camera calibration at YCAM.

  •    C++

ProCamToolkit is a collection software and code for openFrameworks aimed at making high level projector-camera calibration more accessible. It provides examples manual projector calibration using a model of a scene, projector-camera calibration using a reference pattern and gray code scanning, and multi-projector calibration using gray code scanning. A program called "mapamok" has emerged from ProCamToolkit as the most user-friendly app of the collection, and it's useful for experimenting with extremely fast projection mapping in situations where the scene can be modeled quickly (e.g., a collection of cuboids) or where the scene is modeled in advance (e.g., a 3D print, or a manufactured object like a car). Most of ProCamToolkit is written in an extremely modular way, making it possible to borrow snippets of code, including some chunks that are written with the goal of being contributed to the openFrameworks core. ProCamToolkit also includes work in progress towards new installations being developed during Guest Research Projector v.1 at YCAM Interlab. This includes experiments with augmented shadows using multiple projectors, and projection mapping in the YCAM library.

jeelizFaceFilter - Javascript/WebGL lightweight face tracking library designed for augmented reality webcam filters

  •    Javascript

This JavaScript library detects and tracks the face in real time from the webcam video feed captured with WebRTC. Then it is possible to overlay 3D content for augmented reality applications. We provide various demonstrations using main WebGL 3D engines. We have included in this repository the release versions of the 3D engines to work with a determined version (they are in /libs/<name of the engine>/). This library is lightweight and it does not include any 3D engine or third party library. We want to keep it framework agnostic so the outputs of the library are raw: if the a face is detected or not, the position and the scale of the detected face and the rotation Euler angles. But thanks to the featured helpers, examples and boilerplates, you can quickly deal with a higher level context (for motion head tracking, for face filter or face replacement...). We continuously add new demontrations, so stay tuned ! Also, feel free to open an issue if you have any question or suggestion.

G3D - A pure 3D render engine compatible with webgl, running both in browser and gcanvas.

  •    Javascript

G3D is a javascript 3D engine based on WebGL. Compared with other WebGL 3D engines, G3D is a pure render engine, which means it depends on no DOM APIs but just a canvas(or canvas-like) object. This feature makes it possible that G3D works not only in browser but also in some hybrid environments like GCanvas (Weex or ReactNative). See website for more information.
