swrv - Stale-while-revalidate data fetching for Vue

  •    TypeScript

swrv (pronounced "swerve") is a library using the @vue/composition-api for remote data fetching. It is largely a port of swr. The name “SWR” is derived from stale-while-revalidate, a cache invalidation strategy popularized by HTTP RFC 5861. SWR first returns the data from cache (stale), then sends the fetch request (revalidate), and finally comes with the up-to-date data again.

SPTPersistentCache - Everyone tries to implement a cache at some point in their iOS app’s lifecycle, and this is ours

  •    Objective-C

Everyone tries to implement a cache at some point in their app’s lifecycle, and this is ours. This is a library that allows people to cache NSData with time to live (TTL) values and semantics for disk management.SPTPersistentCache is designed as an LRU cache which makes use of the file system to store files as well as inserting a cache header into each file. This cache header allows us to track the TTL, last updated time, the redundancy check and more. This allows the cache to know how often a file is accessed, when it was made, whether it has become corrupt and allows decisions to be made on whether the cache is stale.

golang-lru - Golang LRU cache

  •    Go

This provides the lru package which implements a fixed-size thread safe LRU cache. It is based on the cache in Groupcache.

lru-memoize - A utility to provide LRU memoization for any js function

  •    Javascript

lru-memoize is a utility to provide simple memoization for any pure javascript function, using an LRU cache that prioritizes the most recently accessed values, and discards the "least recently used" (LRU) items when the size limit is reached. If your function has side effects or relies on some external state to generate its result, it should not be memoized. Let's look at an example where we want to memoize a function that multiplies three numbers together, and we want to keep the last ten arguments -> value mappings in memory.

EVURLCache - a NSURLCache subclass for handling all web requests that use NSURLRequest

  •    Swift

EVURLCache respects the HTTP header variables 'Cache-Control' and 'Pragma' when these contain 'no-cache' or 'no-store' then the response will not be written to the cache. You do have to be aware that if the file is already in the cache because you have put it in the PreCache folder yourself or the file was previously fetched with different header variables, the file will be written to the cache in order to update it's contents and the HTTP header varialbes will be ignored. EVURLCache will also take into account the HTTP header variable 'Access-Control-Max-Age' when reading from the cache. When the content is older it will try to fetch it again.

js-lru - A fast, simple & universal Least Recently Used (LRU) map for JavaScript

  •    Javascript

A finite key-value map using the Least Recently Used (LRU) algorithm, where the most recently-used items are "kept alive" while older, less-recently used items are evicted to make room for newer items. Useful when you want to limit use of memory to only hold commonly-used things.

node-cache-manager - Cache module for Node.JS

  •    Javascript

A cache module for nodejs that allows easy wrapping of functions in cache, tiered caches, and a consistent interface. See the Express.js cache-manager example app to see how to use node-cache-manager in your applications.

  •    Javascript

A cache object that deletes the least-recently-used items. If you put more stuff in it, then items will fall out.

  •    Java

Caffeine is a high performance, near optimal caching library based on Java 8. It provides an in-memory cache using a Google Guava inspired API.

ShiftOne Object Cache

  •    Java

A Java library that provides basic Object caching. Implemented strategies include First In First Out (fifo), Least Recently Used (lru) and Least Frequently Used (lfu). All strategies enforce max size in elements, and max time to live.

IDZSwiftCommonCrypto - A wrapper for Apple's Common Crypto library written in Swift.

  •    Swift

A Swift wrapper for Apple's CommonCrypto library. If you are using CococaPods you must use pod cache clean IDZSwiftCommonCrypto --all after you upgrade Xcode. This is needed to avoid stale module maps being used from the CocoaPods cache. Removing your Podfile.lock and Pods directory is not sufficient.

HanekeSwift - A lightweight generic cache for iOS written in Swift with extra love for images.

  •    Swift

Haneke provides a memory and LRU disk cache for UIImage, NSData, JSON, String or any other type that can be read or written as data. Really.

jquery-offline - A jQuery plugin to facilitate conveniently working with local storage

  •    Javascript

Web applications that wish to work robustly in flaky or offline scenarios can use client-side persistence to serve stale data while transparently trying to reconnect for more up-to-date data if possible. In a mobile scenario, the user may consider himself “connected” when in fact he has dropped out of connectivity for a moment (for instance, he may have gone under a tunnel). Because of this, and because latency on mobile devices can be quite high, a well-behaved mobile web application (or even simple website) will serve up content out of a local cache, so the user can see it quickly, before trying to make a connection to retrieve new content.

PINCache - Fast, non-deadlocking parallel object cache for iOS, tvOS and OS X

  •    Objective-C

PINCache is a fork of TMCache re-architected to fix issues with deadlocking caused by heavy use. It is a key/value store designed for persisting temporary objects that are expensive to reproduce, such as downloaded data or the results of slow processing. It is comprised of two self-similar stores, one in memory (PINMemoryCache) and one on disk (PINDiskCache), all backed by GCD and safe to access from multiple threads simultaneously. On iOS, PINMemoryCache will clear itself when the app receives a memory warning or goes into the background. Objects stored in PINDiskCache remain until you trim the cache yourself, either manually or by setting a byte or age limit. Both PINMemoryCache and PINDiskCache use locks to protect reads and writes. PINCache coordinates them so that objects added to memory are available immediately to other threads while being written to disk safely in the background. Both caches are public properties of PINCache, so it's easy to manipulate one or the other separately if necessary.

laravel-model-caching - Eloquent model-caching made easy.

  •    PHP

I created this package in response to a client project that had complex, nested forms with many <select>'s that resulted in over 700 database queries on one page. I needed a package that abstracted the caching process out of the model for me, and one that would let me cache custom queries, as well as cache model relationships. This package is an attempt to address those requirements. For best performance a taggable cache provider is recommended (redis, memcached). While this is optional, using a non-taggable cache provider will mean that the entire cache is cleared each time a model is created, saved, updated, or deleted.
