MySpace DataRelay

  •

Data Relay is the foundation of MySpace's middle tier. At its heart, it is a messaging system for relaying information both between clients and servers, and amongst servers. The servers are plugin based - included are plugins for basic caching and indexed queries.

DDMQ - DDMQ is a distributed messaging product with low latency, high throughput and high availability

  •    Java

DDMQ is a distributed messaging product built by DiDi Infrastructure Team based on Apache RocketMQ. As a distributed messaging middleware, DDMQ provides low latency, high throughput and high available messaging service to many important large-scale distributed systems inside DiDi. DDMQ provides realtime messaging, delay-time messaging and transactional messaging to satisfy different scenarios. Through an easy-to-use Web Console and simple SDK Client, developers can experience producing and consuming messages in the most simple and stable way.

OpenMAMA - Open Middleware Agnostic Messaging API

  •    C

OpenMAMA Project provides a vendor neutral integration layer for a variety of message oriented middleware systems and messaging protocols. It enables an application to employ a range or middleware systems simultaneously or switch between them at will while developing with a single open source API. Adding or changing the messaging stack does not require lengthy and expensive code changes.

Redisson - Redis based In-Memory Data Grid for Java

  •    Java

Redisson - distributed Java objects and services (Set, Multimap, SortedSet, Map, List, Queue, BlockingQueue, Deque, BlockingDeque, Semaphore, Lock, AtomicLong, Map Reduce, Publish / Subscribe, Bloom filter, Spring Cache, Executor service, Tomcat Session Manager, Scheduler service, JCache API) on top of Redis server. Rich Redis client.

SharedCache.com - high-performance, distributed caching

  •    ASPNET

high-performance, distributed memory object caching system, generic in nature, but intended to speeding up dynamic web and / or win applications by alleviating database load. Don't forget to visit us at http://www.sharedcache.com

Ehcache

  •    Java

Ehcache is an open source, standards-based cache used to boost performance, offload the database and simplify scalability. Ehcache is robust, proven and full-featured and this has made it the most widely-used Java-based cache.

Cacheonix - Open Source Java Cache

  •    Java

Cacheonix is an Open Source Java cache that allows developers to scale applications horizontally by providing a highly concurrent local cache and a strictly consistent distributed cache. It supports Distributed cache, Web application cache, Distributed lock, Second level (L2) cache.

Memcached - distributed object caching system

  •    C

Memcached is high-performance, distributed memory object caching system, generic in nature, but intended for use in speeding up dynamic web applications by alleviating database load. Memcached is an in-memory key-value store for small chunks of arbitrary data (strings, objects) from results of database calls, API calls, or page rendering.

CacheManager - CacheManager is an open source caching abstraction layer for

  •    CSharp

CacheManager is an open source caching abstraction layer for .NET written in C#. It supports various cache providers and implements many advanced features. The main goal of the CacheManager package is to make developer's life easier to handle even very complex caching scenarios. With CacheManager it is possible to implement multiple layers of caching, e.g. in-process caching in front of a distributed cache, in just a few lines of code.

Kong - The Microservice API Gateway

  •    Lua

Kong is a cloud-native, fast, scalable, and distributed Microservice Abstraction Layer (also known as an API Gateway, API Middleware or in some cases Service Mesh). Backed by the battle-tested NGINX with a focus on high performance, Kong was made available as an open-source platform in 2015. Under active development, Kong is used in production at thousands of organizations from startups, Global 5000 and Government organizations.

Caching - Libraries for in-memory caching and distributed caching.

  •    CSharp

Contains libraries for in-memory caching and distributed caching. Includes distributed cache implementations for in-memory, Microsoft SQL Server, and Redis. This project is part of ASP.NET Core. You can find samples, documentation and getting started instructions for ASP.NET Core at the Home repo.

gnatsd - High-Performance server for NATS, the cloud native messaging system.

  •    Go

NATS Server is a simple, high performance open source messaging system for cloud native applications, IoT messaging, and microservices architectures. It implements a highly scalable and elegant publish-subscribe (pub/sub) distribution model. The performant nature of NATS make it an ideal base for building modern, reliable, scalable cloud native distributed systems.

skuld - Distributed task tracking system.

  •    Clojure

Skuld is (or aims to become) a hybrid AP/CP distributed task queue, targeting linear scaling with nodes, robustness to N/2-1 failures, extremely high availability for enqueues, guaranteed at-least-once delivery, approximate priority+FIFO ordering, and reasonable bounds on task execution mutexing. Each run of a task can log status updates to Skuld, checkpointing their progress and allowing users to check how far along their tasks have gone. Skuld combines techniques from many distributed systems: Dynamo-style consistent hashing, quorums over vnodes, and anti-entropy provide the highly-available basis for Skuld's immutable dataset, including enqueues, updates, and completions. All AP operations are represented by Convergent Replicated Data Types (CRDTs), ensuring convergence in the absence of strong consistency. CP operations (e.g. claims) are supported by a leader election/quorum protocol similar to Viewstamped Replication or Raft, supported by additional constraints on handoff transitions between disparate cohorts.

apicache - Simple API-caching middleware for Express/Node.

  •    Javascript

Because route-caching of simple data/responses should ALSO be simple. To use, simply inject the middleware (example: apicache.middleware('5 minutes', [optionalMiddlewareToggle])) into your routes. Everything else is automagic.

nats-server - High-Performance server for NATS, the cloud native messaging system.

  •    Go

NATS is a simple, secure and performant communications system for digital systems, services and devices. NATS is part of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF). NATS has over 30 client language implementations, and its server can run on-premise, in the cloud, at the edge, and even on a Raspberry Pi. NATS can secure and simplify design and operation of modern distributed systems. If you are interested in contributing to NATS, read about our...

actionpack-page_caching - Static page caching for Action Pack (removed from core in Rails 4.0)

  •    Ruby

Static page caching for Action Pack (removed from core in Rails 4.0).Page caching is an approach to caching where the entire action output is stored as a HTML file that the web server can serve without going through Action Pack. This is the fastest way to cache your content as opposed to going dynamically through the process of generating the content. Unfortunately, this incredible speed-up is only available to stateless pages where all visitors are treated the same. Content management systems -- including weblogs and wikis -- have many pages that are a great fit for this approach, but account-based systems where people log in and manipulate their own data are often less likely candidates.
