ipmagnet - Check which IP adresses your BitTorrent client is handing out to trackers

  •        2

ipMagnet allows you to quickly check what adresses your BitTorrent client is handing out to its Trackers. It does this by generating a magnet link, which when being requested by BitTorrent clients generates a database entry. The source code is freely available on http://github.com/cbdevnet/ipmagnet and is designed to be read and understood by anyone having basic knowledge of HTML, PHP and JavaScript.

haven - Haven is for people who need a way to protect their personal spaces and possessions without compromising their own privacy, through an Android app and on-device sensors

  •    Java

Haven is for people who need a way to protect their personal spaces and possessions without compromising their own privacy. It is an Android application that leverages on-device sensors to provide monitoring and protection of physical spaces. Haven turns any Android phone into a motion, sound, vibration and light detector, watching for unexpected guests and unwanted intruders. We designed Haven for investigative journalists, human rights defenders, and people at risk of forced disappearance to create a new kind of herd immunity. By combining the array of sensors found in any smartphone, with the world's most secure communications technologies, like Signal and Tor, Haven prevents the worst kind of people from silencing citizens without getting caught in the act. View our full Haven App Overview presentation for more about the origins and goals of the project.

Privacy Badger starts blocking once it sees the same tracker on three different websites.

Shreddit - Remove your comment history on Reddit as deleting an account does not do so.

  •    Python

Shreddit is a Python command line program which will take a user's post history on the website Reddit, and will systematically go through the user's history deleting one post/submission at a time until only those whitelisted remain. It allows you to maintain your normal reddit account while having your history scrubbed after a certain amount of time. When it became known that post edits were not saved but post deletions were saved, code was added to edit your post prior to deletion. In fact you can actually turn off deletion all together and just have lorem ipsum (or a message about Shreddit) but this will increase how long it takes the script to run as it will be going over all of your messages every run.

ungoogled-chromium - Modifications to Google Chromium for removing Google integration and enhancing privacy, control, and transparency

  •    Python

A number of features or background services communicate with Google servers despite the absence of an associated Google account or compiled-in Google API keys. Furthermore, the normal build process for Chromium involves running Google's own high-level commands that invoke many scripts and utilities, some of which download and use pre-built binaries provided by Google. Even the final build output includes some pre-built binaries. Fortunately, the source code is available for everything. ungoogled-chromium should not be considered a fork of Chromium. The main reason for this is that a fork is associated with more significant deviations from the Chromium, such as branding, configuration formats, file locations, and other interface changes. ungoogled-chromium will not modify the Chromium browser outside of the project's goals.

Windows10-Privacy - Windows 10 Privacy Guide

  •

At the end of the setup process, create a local account, don't use Cortana and turn off everything in the privacy settings. If you already installed Windows with the default settings, go to Start > Settings > Privacy to turn them off. You should also go to Account and disconnect your Microsoft account because this guide will prevent it from working properly. Once you get to the desktop, go to Settings > Updates and security, and let it download all the updates. Reboot and repeat until no more updates are available. This is important because Windows Update may interfere with our activities. Now open the Store app, and let it download updates too. Again, this is important because updates would interfere with our activities. This may take some time, and it may even get stuck. If it happens, reboot and try again. Make sure you check for updates several times, because we absolutely don't want it to try and download stuff while we're removing it.
