taskr - A fast, concurrency-focused task automation tool.

  •    Javascript

Taskr is a highly performant task runner, much like Gulp or Grunt, but written with concurrency in mind. With Taskr, everything is a coroutine, which allows for cascading and composable tasks; but unlike Gulp, it's not limited to the stream metaphor. Taskr is extremely extensible, so anything can be a task. Our core system will accept whatever you throw at it, resulting in a modular system of reusable plugins and tasks, connected by a declarative taskfile.js that's easy to read.

react-native-queue - A React Native Job Queue

  •    Javascript

A React Native at-least-once priority job queue / task queue backed by persistent Realm storage. Jobs will persist until completed, even if user closes and re-opens app. React Native Queue is easily integrated into OS background processes (services) so you can ensure the queue will continue to process until all jobs are completed even if app isn't in focus. It also plays well with Workers so your jobs can be thrown on the queue, then processed in dedicated worker threads for greatly improved processing performance. React Native Queue is designed to be a swiss army knife for task management in React Native. It abstracts away the many annoyances related to processing complex tasks, like durability, retry-on-failure, timeouts, chaining processes, and more. Just throw your jobs onto the queue and relax - they're covered.

Task Coach

  •    Objective-C

Free flexible open source todo manager featuring hierarchical tasks

todometer - A meter-based to-do list

  •    Javascript

A simple meter-based to-do list built with Electron, React, Redux, and LESS. Regarding that last point, I don't expect all pull requests to be absolutely necessary. New features are good. That being said, if the new features make the app unnecessarily complex in some way without bringing value to the users, it won't be merged.

electron-es6-react - Minimal demonstration how to use React and ES6 with Electron.

  •    Javascript

A simple boilerplate app to demonstrate how to use ES6 and React with Electron. It uses Babel to automatically transpile ES6 and JSX code, without depending on any package manager besides npm. The Node and Electron binaries both take a parameter -r that automatically requires a module before the rest of the code. The npm start script is modified using this, which registers Babel and loads the entry point main.js.

react-ionize - A React renderer for building your entire Electron app

  •    Javascript

react-ionize is a library which lets you build the "non-browser" parts of an Electron app using React components to manage your application's state. Electron applications consist of two types of process: a main process which manages the lifecycle of the application, and several renderer processes, which display webpages which comprise the application's GUI. While it's fairly common to use React and ReactDOM to build an HTML/CSS/JS interface in the renderer process, react-ionize runs in the main process, managing things like window size/position, menu contents, and application-wide events.

guppy - 🐠A friendly application manager and task runner for React.js

  •    Javascript

There are a lot of "meta" skills around React web development that don't really have anything to do with building great web products. Guppy is made for beginners - folks who are just starting out with web development. We hope that it's powerful enough for advanced users as well, but we'll always prioritize the new-developer experience. We'll never charge money for Guppy, it'll always be free-to-use.

ram - :atom_symbol: React Application Manager: create and run React (and other) applications – no command line or build setup required

  •    Javascript

To add support for another app, please open a pull request. For the most part, Create React App has solved #1 for people who already know #2 and #3. It's an excellent tool and that's why RAM makes use of it.

universal-redux-template - A clean, extensible react + redux boilerplate with universal/isomorphic rendering, testing and more

  •    Javascript

To bootstrap a React app development environment is not an easy task, there are so many libraries to setup, including webpack, babel, testing stuff and others. I'd like this boilerplate to be a ready-to-use one with the essential tools and the simplest logic that just work to build a universal rendering React + Redux app. That's why there is no fancy stuff in this app, since it's a basis of your killer app rather than a showcase one.

realm-tasks - To Do app built with Realm, inspired by Clear for iOS

  •    Swift

A basic task management app, designed as a homage to Realmac Software's Clear, with their knowledge and permission.Warning: This project is very much a work in progress, being used as a testbed for new Realm technologies. It is in no way a fully feature-complete product, nor is it ever meant to be an actual competitor for the Clear app.

phulp - The task manager for php

  •    PHP

Sometimes I need a tool like Gulp for my PHP projects, but I don't want to install npm only to install Gulp. I thought "I need something like Gulp, but in PHP". After a little research I found Phing, but it's not focused in minification and management for CSS/JS and related frontend stuff. Well, I decided to write Phulp, the PHP port of Gulp! And a little curiosity: it's faster than Gulp.

Celery - Distributed Task Queue

  •    Python

Celery is an asynchronous task queue/job queue based on distributed message passing. It is focused on real-time operation, but supports scheduling as well. The execution units, called tasks, are executed concurrently on a single or more worker servers using multiprocessing, Eventlet, or gevent. Tasks can execute asynchronously (in the background) or synchronously (wait until ready).

This is a desktop app that interactively and with sample code demonstrates core features of the Electron API. It's built with Electron, too, of course. This app works on Windows, macOS and Linux operating systems. Use this app to see what you can do with Electron and use the source code to learn how to create a basic Electron app.
