Hornetq - Enterprise messaging

  •    Java

HornetQ is the new ultra high performance enterprise grade messaging system from JBoss community. It is a multi-protocol, embeddable, very high performance, clustered, asynchronous messaging system. It offers server replication and automatic client failover to eliminate lost or duplicated messages in case of server failure. It also provides a comprehensive management API to manage & monitor servers.

RabbitMQ - Robust messaging for applications

  •    Erlang

RabbitMQ is a messaging broker - an intermediary for messaging. It gives your applications a common platform to send and receive messages, and your messages a safe place to live until received. It features include reliability, high availability, Clustering and Federation. RabbitMQ ships with an easy-to use management UI that allows you to monitor and control every aspect of your message broker. There are RabbitMQ clients for almost any language you can think of.

Enqueue is production ready, battle-tested messaging solution for PHP. Provides a common way for programs to create, send, read messages. This is a main development repository. It provides a friendly environment for productive development and testing of all Enqueue related features&packages.

hermes - Fast and reliable message broker built on top of Kafka.

  •    Java

Hermes is an asynchronous message broker built on top of Kafka. We provide reliable, fault tolerant REST interface for message publishing and adaptive push mechanisms for message sending.Questions? We are on gitter.

disque - Disque is a distributed message broker

  •    C

Disque is an ongoing experiment to build a distributed, in-memory, message broker. Its goal is to capture the essence of the "Redis as a jobs queue" use case, which is usually implemented using blocking list operations, and move it into an ad-hoc, self-contained, scalable, and fault tolerant design, with simple to understand properties and guarantees, but still resembling Redis in terms of simplicity, performance, and implementation as a C non-blocking networked server.Currently (2 Jan 2016) the project is in release candidate state. People are encouraged to start evaluating it and report bugs and experiences.

vernemq - A distributed MQTT message broker based on Erlang/OTP

  •    Erlang

VerneMQ is a high-performance, distributed MQTT message broker. It scales horizontally and vertically on commodity hardware to support a high number of concurrent publishers and consumers while maintaining low latency and fault tolerance. VerneMQ is the reliable message hub for your IoT platform or smart products. VerneMQ is an Apache2 licensed distributed MQTT broker, developed in Erlang.

MassTransit - Distributed Application Framework for .NET

  •    CSharp

MassTransit is a lightweight message bus for creating distributed applications using the .NET framework. MassTransit provides an extensive set of features on top existing message transports, resulting in a developer friendly way to asynchronously connect services using message-based conversation patterns. Message-based communication is a reliable and scalable way to implement a service oriented architecture.

imapmq - :inbox_tray: IMAP based message broker client

  •    Go

IMAPMQ is an IMAP based message broker client. It provides a simple interface for publishing, subscribing and dequeuing messages. It also supports concurrent access to the same message queue. Based on go-imap. IMAPMQ treats IMAP mailboxes as queues. In order to add a message to a queue, IMAPMQ appends an email to the mailbox.

Mosquitto - An Open Source MQTT v3.1 Broker

  •    C

Mosquitto is an open source message broker that implements the MQ Telemetry Transport protocol version 3.1. MQTT provides a lightweight method of carrying out messaging using a publish/subscribe model. This makes it suitable for machine to machine messaging such as with low power sensors or mobile devices such as phones, embedded computers or microcontrollers like the Arduino.

NSQ - A realtime distributed messaging platform in Go

  •    Go

NSQ is a realtime distributed messaging platform designed to operate at scale, handling billions of messages per day. It promotes distributed and decentralized topologies without single points of failure, enabling fault tolerance and high availability coupled with a reliable message delivery guarantee. It scales horizontally, without any centralized brokers. Built-in discovery simplifies the addition of nodes to the cluster.

ZeroMQ - Messaging Library

  •    C++

The 0MQ lightweight messaging kernel is a library which extends the standard socket interfaces with features traditionally provided by specialised messaging middleware products. 0MQ sockets provide an abstraction of asynchronous message queues, multiple messaging patterns, message filtering (subscriptions), seamless access to multiple transport protocols and more.

servicebus - Simple service bus for sending events between processes using amqp.

  •    Javascript

Simple service bus for sending events between processes using amqp. Allows for send/receive and publish/subscribe pattern messaging over RabbitMQ. Simply running multiple versions of Process A, above, will cause servicebus to distribute sent messages evenly accross the list of listeners, in a round-robin pattern.

liftbridge - Lightweight, fault-tolerant message streams.

  •    Go

Liftbridge provides lightweight, fault-tolerant message streams by implementing a durable stream augmentation for the NATS messaging system. It extends NATS with a Kafka-like publish-subscribe log API that is highly available and horizontally scalable. Use Liftbridge as a simpler and lighter alternative to systems like Kafka and Pulsar or use it to add streaming semantics to an existing NATS deployment. See the introduction post on Liftbridge and this post for more context and some of the inspiration behind it.

AMQP-CPP - C++ library for asynchronous non-blocking communication with RabbitMQ

  •    C++

AMQP-CPP is a C++ library for communicating with a RabbitMQ message broker. The library can be used to parse incoming data from a RabbitMQ server, and to generate frames that can be sent to a RabbitMQ server. This library has a layered architecture, and allows you - if you like - to completely take care of the network layer. If you want to set up and manage the network connections yourself, the AMQP-CPP library will not make a connection to RabbitMQ by itself, nor will it create sockets and/or perform IO operations. As a user of this library, you create the socket connection and implement a certain interface that you pass to the AMQP-CPP library and that the library will use for IO operations.
