syntastic - Syntax checking hacks for vim

  •    Vim

Syntastic is a syntax checking plugin for Vim created by Martin Grenfell. It runs files through external syntax checkers and displays any resulting errors to the user. This can be done on demand, or automatically as files are saved. If syntax errors are detected, the user is notified and is happy because they didn't have to compile their code or execute their script to find them. At the time of this writing, syntastic has checking plugins for ACPI Source Language, ActionScript, Ada, Ansible configurations, API Blueprint, AppleScript, AsciiDoc, Assembly languages, BEMHTML, Bro, Bourne shell, C, C++, C#, Cabal, Chef, CMake, CoffeeScript, Coco, Coq, CSS, Cucumber, CUDA, D, Dart, DocBook, Dockerfile, Dust, Elixir, Erlang, eRuby, Fortran, Gentoo metadata, GLSL, Go, Haml, Haskell, Haxe, Handlebars, HSS, HTML, Java, JavaScript, JSON, JSX, Julia, LESS, Lex, Limbo, LISP, LLVM intermediate language, Lua, Markdown, MATLAB, Mercury, NASM, Nix, Objective-C, Objective-C++, OCaml, Perl, Perl 6, Perl POD, PHP, gettext Portable Object, OS X and iOS property lists, Pug (formerly Jade), Puppet, Python, QML, R, Racket, RDF TriG, RDF Turtle, Relax NG, reStructuredText, RPM spec, Ruby, SASS/SCSS, Scala, Slim, SML, Solidity, Sphinx, SQL, Stylus, Tcl, TeX, Texinfo, Twig, TypeScript, Vala, Verilog, VHDL, Vim help, VimL, Vue.js, xHtml, XML, XSLT, XQuery, YACC, YAML, YANG data models, YARA rules, z80, Zope page templates, and Zsh. vim - The official Vim repository

  •    C

Vim is a greatly improved version of the good old UNIX editor Vi. Many new features have been added: multi-level undo, syntax highlighting, command line history, on-line help, spell checking, filename completion, block operations, script language, etc. There is also a Graphical User Interface (GUI) available. Still, Vi compatibility is maintained, those who have Vi "in the fingers" will feel at home. See runtime/doc/vi_diff.txt for differences with Vi. This editor is very useful for editing programs and other plain text files. All commands are given with normal keyboard characters, so those who can type with ten fingers can work very fast. Additionally, function keys can be mapped to commands by the user, and the mouse can be used.

vim-grepper - :space_invader: Helps you win at grep.

  •    Vim

Use your favorite grep tool (ag, ack, git grep, ripgrep, pt, sift, findstr, grep) to start an asynchronous search. All matches will be put in a quickfix or location list. This plugin works with Vim and Neovim on Unix-like systems. It's mostly working on Windows as well.

fzf.vim - fzf  vim

  •    Vim

Things you can do with fzf and Vim.fzf in itself is not a Vim plugin, and the official repository only provides the basic wrapper function for Vim and it's up to the users to write their own Vim commands with it. However, I've learned that many users of fzf are not familiar with Vimscript and are looking for the "default" implementation of the features they can find in the alternative Vim plugins.

vim-go - Go development plugin for Vim

  •    Vim

The latest stable release is the recommended version to use. If you choose to use the master branch instead, please do so with caution; it is a development branch. You will also need to install all the necessary binaries. vim-go makes it easy to install all of them by providing a command, :GoInstallBinaries, which will go get all the required binaries.

vim-startify - :link: The fancy start screen for Vim.

  •    Vim

This plugin provides a start screen for Vim and Neovim. It provides dynamically created headers or footers and uses configurable lists to show recently used or bookmarked files and persistent sessions. All of this can be accessed in a simple to use menu that even allows to open multiple entries at once.

VimCompletesMe - You don't Complete Me; Vim Completes Me! A super simple, super minimal, super light-weight tab completion plugin for Vim

  •    Vim

A super simple, super minimal, super light-weight tab-completion plugin for Vim. vimrc - VimL: Opinionated VIM Configuration

  •    Vim

This Vim configuration is meant to make Vim feel more like an IDE than a simple console-based text editor. This configuration is optimized for use with GVim though it certainly works in the terminal as well. Run these commands to get this Vim configuration working on your OS X or Linux machine. You can run git pull inside of ~/.vim if you'd ever like to grab the latest version.

vim-galore - :mortar_board: All things Vim!

timl - Clojure like language which compiles down to VimL

  •    VimL

TimL is a Lisp dialect implemented in and compiling down to VimL, the scripting language provided by the Vim text editor. Think Clojure meets VimL. If you mean the 6,000 lines of working code, then no, I poured hundreds upon hundreds of very serious hours into that. But if you're referring to the fact it's woefully underdocumented, adds considerable overhead to an already slow host platform, and ultimately unlikely to gain any traction, then yeah, probably.

vim-mustache-handlebars - mustache and handlebars mode for vim

  •    VimL

This plugin contributes to vim-polyglot language pack. Note: for compatibility reason #7, we've renamed the repo name from vim-mode to vim-mustache-handlebars.

vim-as-an-ide - Workshop on how to use Vim Plugins.

  •    VimL

This repository is the result of a tech talk that I gave at Carnegie Mellon University on February 25, 2015. Its central motivation is this: students who have been instructed or told to use Vim to complete programming assignments while ssh'ed are missing out on the vast power that lies within Vim. In my experience as a TA and fellow student, learning the former requires the latter and vice versa, leading to a vicious cycle of Vim peril. With this in mind, this repository aims to cure the latter, so that the vicious cycle can end.

Dockerfile.vim - Vim syntax file & snippets for Docker's Dockerfile

  •    Vim

vim-sneak - The missing motion for Vim :athletic_shoe:

  •    Vim

Jump to any location specified by two characters. Sneak is a powerful, reliable, yet minimal motion plugin for Vim. It works with multiple lines, operators (including repeat . and surround), motion-repeat (; and ,), keymaps, visual mode, multibyte text, and macros.

vim-endwise - endwise.vim: wisely add "end" in ruby, endfunction/endif/more in vim script, etc

  •    Vim

This is a simple plugin that helps to end certain structures automatically. In Ruby, this means adding end after if, do, def and several other keywords. In Vimscript, this amounts to appropriately adding endfunction, endif, etc. There's also Bourne shell, Z shell, VB (don't ask), C/C++ preprocessor, Lua, Elixir, Haskell, Objective-C, Matlab, Crystal and Jinja templates support. A primary guiding principle in designing this plugin was that an erroneous insertion is never acceptable. The behavior is only triggered once pressing enter on the end of the line. When this happens, endwise searches for a matching end structure and only adds one if none is found.
