Gaimindexer - Index your Gaim logs for Google Desktop
This plugin will use the Google Desktop API to submit gaim chat/IM logs to Google Desktop. The application can either be run as a service or on a schedule. I have been looking for something with this capability for a few months, and I haven't found anyone who made much progress. Mine already finds the log files and parses them properly. Due to some personal issues, I haven't been able to continue working on this. I'll try to put up what code I have soon.

Indictransliterater - Indic Transliterater offers an option for converting Roman characters to major
Indic Transliterater is a plugin for Pidgin.im (previously Gaim) and offers an option for converting Roman characters to the Tamil characters. This lets you type Tamil words phonetically in English script and still have them appear in their correct alphabet. Note that this is not the same as translation -- it is the sound of the words that are converted from one alphabet to the other, not their meaning. The code is being developed using C and Gtk2.
