CouchDB - A Database for the Web

  •        0

Apache CouchDB is a document-oriented database that can be queried and indexed in a MapReduce fashion using JavaScript. CouchDB also offers incremental replication with bi-directional conflict detection and resolution. CouchDB provides a RESTful JSON API than can be accessed from any environment that allows HTTP requests. There are myriad third-party client libraries that make this even easier from your programming language of choice. CouchDB’s built in Web administration console speaks directly to the database using HTTP requests issued from your browser.

HyperGraphDB - Database for Storing Strongly-Typed Hypergraphs

HyperGraphDB is a general purpose, open-source data storage mechanism based on a powerful knowledge management formalism known as directed hypergraphs. While a persistent memory model designed mostly for Knowledge management, Artificial Intelligence and Semantic web projects, it can also be used as an embedded object-oriented database for Java projects of all sizes. It could also be used as graph database or as (non-SQL) relational database.

HBase - Hadoop database

HBase provides support to handle BigTable - billions of rows X millions of columns. It is a scalable, distributed, versioned, column-oriented store modeled after Google's Bigtable and runs on top of HDFS (Hadoop Distributed Filesystem). It features compression, in-memory operation per-column. Data could be replicated between the nodes. HBase is used in Facebook and Twitter.

Hypertable - A high performance, scalable, distributed storage and processing system for structured

Hypertable is based on Google's Bigtable Design, which is a proven scalable design that powers hundreds of Google services. Many of the current scalable NoSQL database offerings are based on a hash table design which means that the data they manage is not kept physically ordered. Hypertable keeps data physically sorted by a primary key and it is well suited for Analytics.

Vork - PHP Framework for Rapid Application Development

Vork is a PHP framework for Rapid Application Development. Developers who already know PHP can use Vork productively within minutes. It is a full MVC stack includes layouts and components. It generates mobile-ready HTML5, SEO-optimized smart-URL format, PHP5 object-oriented E_STRICT source code, Universal database support without abstraction, Native non-relational database (NoSQL) support, Well integrated with E-commerce tools, Google Maps, Charts, Analytics, AdSense.

Jasper Reports

JasperReports is the world's most popular open source reporting engine. It is entierly written in Java and it is able to use data coming from any kind of data source and produce pixel-perfect documents that can be viewed, printed or exported in a variety of document formats including HTML, PDF, Excel, OpenOffice and Word.

NHibernate - object-relational mapper for .NET

NHibernate is a mature, open source object-relational mapper for the .NET framework. NHibernate is a port of Hibernate Core for Java to the .NET Framework. It handles persisting plain .NET objects to and from an underlying relational database.

Infobright - The Database for Analytics

Infobright combines a columnar database with our Knowledge Grid architecture to deliver a self-managing, self-tuning database optimized for analytics. Infobright eliminates the need to create indexes, partition data, or do any manual tuning to achieve fast response for queries and reports.

Expat is an XML parser library written in C. It is a stream-oriented parser in which an application registers handlers for things the parser might find in the XML document (like start tags).
