Openbit - Command-line Utility -> Web Service Toolkit

OpenBT is a toolkit for exposing POSIX utilities to the web where they may be accessed through simple REST transactions (e.g. GET, POST). OpenBT is fast, secure, scalable, and operates entirely over HTTP. Our core developers maintain a high level of focus on three important areas: Performance Security Scalability Feel free to take a look at our wiki for even more information. How about a quick example? The following command illustrates how one might run a local command-line utility: user:~$ ./co

Php-enterprise-framework - Enterprise framework for PHP

Built on top of existing open source components, PEF will be a scalable enterprise framework for PHP.The core aspects of PEF will be:1. scalability2. extensibility3. security4. centrally managedWe're in the design phase at the moment. We won't have an alpha for a few months.Plan moving forwards:1. have a proof of concept framework as an alpha release.   1.1. Hosting Reborn API librariesWhat is it?Hosting Reborn is a pay-as-you-go shared web hosting provider. The underlying platform exposes a web-based API with which any program written in any language can directly interact. This project features Hosting Reborn's own PHP programming libraries for making the process of talking to the API from your programs a lot easier. Documentation for the API itself (not these libraries) is at View the PHPDOC generated documentat

Pysph - Framework for Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics in Python

PySPH is an open source framework for Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) simulations. It is implemented in Python and the performance critical parts are implemented in Cython. The framework provides for load balanced, parallel execution of solvers. It is designed to be easy to extend. FeaturesSolver framework to add arbitrary collections of particles and define operations on them. Flexibility to add new functions to define particle particle interactions in Python. Disms - Distributed Storage Management System

A good performance may only be achieved when the application just use the nearest storage. It is the rule. After a carefully reading of the paper about Google File System (GFS) [1], you will find GFS is not a 'File system' in common sense, even it used some concepts from file system. The paper gave some clues about the core functions: such as scheduling, duplication arrangement. GFS + MapReduce also give the idea: bring your application to the storage where its data residing. It is fun to make a

Parakit - Parallel Solution/Algorithm in Java

ParaKit project is planed to design practical solution/algorithm for Java Application to take advantage of multi-core (CPU) hardware, and then to improve the latency and throughput of the application. Sometimes throughput is conflict with latency, we need to balance them. We will try to discuss some concrete topics: 1. Practical Priority QueueProblem:There are many cases we need process user request in parallel and with different priority, for example, suppose we are a post office, we need to pr
