Colt - Scientific and Technical Computing in Java

  •        0

Colt distribution consists of several free Java libraries bundled under one single uniform umbrella. Namely the Colt library, the Jet library, the CoreJava library, and the Concurrent library.

The Colt library provides fundamental general-purpose data structures optimized for numerical data, such as resizable arrays, dense and sparse matrices (multi-dimensional arrays), linear algebra, associative containers and buffer management. The Jet library contains mathematical and statistical tools for data analysis, powerful histogramming functionality, Random Number Generators and Distributions useful for (event) simulations, and more. The CoreJava library contains C-like print formatting. The Concurrent library contains standardized, efficient utility classes commonly encountered in parallel & concurrent programming.

Koloboke - Java Collections till the last breadcrumb of memory and performance

Koloboke aims to replace the standard Java collections and streams with more efficient implementations. The current version of Koloboke focuses on replacing java.util.HashSet and java.util.HashMap. It provides a complete set of primitive type implementations for each collection. Its able to avoid the expensive boxing/unboxing of primitives and saves memory for boxed primitive objects. It is the fastest and the most memory efficient library implementing hash maps and sets.

Boost - CPP Library

Boost provides free peer-reviewed portable C++ source libraries. Boost libraries are intended to be widely useful, and usable across a broad spectrum of applications. It supports String, Containers, Streams, Generic programming, Concurrent programming, Math, Memory and lot more.

Guava - Google Core Libraries for Java

The Google Guava Libraries are a nice set of Java utility classes that will probably come in handy in any project. It provides immutable collections, string manipulation, handling primitives ,easier I/O, concurrency etc. it absolutely follows the Collections API requirements. It has support for murmur hash.

TurboPower SysTools

SysTools is a library of utility routines amp; classes for Borland Delphi, C++Builder, amp; environments that support COM. It includes 1-D amp; 2-D bar codes, sorting, money routines, logging, high-precision math, a run-time math expression analyzer, amp; much more.

GNU Octave - Language for Numerical Computations

GNU Octave is a high-level interpreted language, primarily intended for numerical computations. It provides capabilities for the numerical solution of linear and nonlinear problems, and for performing other numerical experiments. It also provides extensive graphics capabilities for data visualization and manipulation. Octave Forge is a place for development of its packages; from bioinformatics and fuzzy logic to mechanics and instrument control.

Java Math Library (JML) is a fairly robust mathematics library that can be used for anything from basic calculations to some more advanced mathematical functions.

gs-collections - A supplement or replacement for the Java Collections Framework

GS Collections is a collections framework for Java. It has JDK-compatible List, Set and Map implementations with a rich API and set of utility classes that work with any JDK compatible Collections, Arrays, Maps or Strings. The iteration protocol was inspired by the Smalltalk collection framework. It provides replacements for ArrayList, HashSet, and HashMap optimized for performance and memory usage.

A collection of Concurrent and Highly Scalable Utilities. These are intended as direct replacements for the java.util.* or java.util.concurrent.* collections but with better performance when many CPUs are using the collection concurrently.

SciPy - software for Mathematics, Science, and Engineering

SciPy (pronounced "Sigh Pie") is open-source software for mathematics, science, and engineering. The SciPy library is built to work with NumPy arrays, and provides many user-friendly and efficient numerical routines such as routines for numerical integration and optimization.
