Gongora (named after Spanish Golden-century author Luis de GÃ³ngora, or after a type of orchid) intends to be a Monte Carlo go engine with clean design and code that is easy to understand. The intention is making it easy to experiment with learning algorithms for adjusting the way the playout policy biases the picking of random moves. Gongora will speak GTP. Progress in this project might be folded into dimwit, our existing go engine.
